I am incredibly proud to serve as a Board Member of One Simple Wish, a national nonprofit that began 18 years ago right here in my community. Founded by Danielle Gletow, One Simple Wish is driven by extraordinary heart, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to bringing love, hope, and joy to those who need it most. While their primary focus is supporting individuals impacted by the foster care system, their impact extends far beyond that mission when urgent needs arise. When SNAP benefits were halted during the government shutdown, OSW mobilized immediately—raising funds to support families facing food insecurity. When bitter cold struck this winter, they stepped up again, fundraising for critical supplies for individuals experiencing homelessness. Because 100% of their funding comes from private donations, there is no govt red tape—only direct, meaningful impact. OSW also holds a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, reflecting transparency for every dollar entrusted to them.

A very professional staff dedicated to improve the life of many immigrants in Trenton. They offer a variety of services that make a real impact.

I enjoy volunteering it is extremely rewarding . Everyone works together for a common goal and that is to help the community

There are many non-profits in our area, but few have touched as many as ISLES. Their commitment to Trenton and its residents does in fact build self-reliance...over and over again. ISLES should be on the donation list of every family and business in Mercer County.

I am so impressed by Anchor House—it's truly a beacon of hope for youths in need. The organization’s mission is not only inspiring but also vital in today’s society. Anchor House is dedicated to providing essential support and resources to young individuals facing abuse, neglect and homelessness , and their impact is felt deeply within the community.

My family never heard of a Diaper Bank. We received a generous donation that last our 2 little ones for two months.<br><br>In the future when we are back on our feet we will remember to pay forward by donating to the diaper bank. We have received great donations of new clothes and household items.<br><br>Thank you and all the volunteers that help in the distribution center. <br>

I only wish I would have discovered Artworks sooner!!! For the past few years I have been attending their events such as The Monsters Ball, Art All Night, and Art All Day. Who knew that Trenton had such an amazing community of artists and all the eclectic people that attend events. We now keep an eye on the happenings and have event added our own art to the mix! We've made new friends and look forward to the next opportunity to jump in and join the fun.

The Rescue Mission of Trenton stands as an example of unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Their services go beyond providing shelter and food. From warm meals and a safe haven to addiction recovery programs and vocational training, the Rescue Mission offers a comprehensive lifeline for individuals facing adversity. It's an organization that doesn't just offer immediate relief but empowers individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. <br> <br>As a volunteer, I've had the privilege of witnessing the positive impact they have on the community. The organization's desire is to end homelessness. It is a high goal but I believe their approach to the business of restoring dignity and offering a genuine pathway to a better future is the right way to go. The people they serve aren't just clients, they are individuals with stories, dreams, and aspirations. The Rescue Mission recognizes this and endeavors to help them overcome obstacles, creating a brighter future for all. <br> <br>The Rescue Mission has an unwavering commitment to serving the community. Their tireless efforts have brought light and transformation into the lives of many. They are more than just a shelter, they are a place of hope, healing, and redemption. The Rescue Mission is an invaluable asset to the community, embodying the spirit of compassion and service, and I'm honored to have contributed to their mission.

I love this theatre company. They produce professional, thought-provoking, original plays of very high quality. Some of my most favorite plays I have seen at Passage. I love that I can commute a short distance and see a play of the same caliber that I would find from the best companies in New York or Philadelphia. In addition to the wonderful shows, they also run fantastic programs for Trenton youth. One in particular is called "The State Street Project" -- it teaches children enrolled in Trenton public schools how to write plays then produces material written by the kids. I became a donor when I saw The State Street Project in action. I never cease to be impressed by this organization's work and the impact that their plays make on the individuals who see them.

Wonderful Public Charity for Veterans and their families. Have a keen sense of justice and work hard to take care of Nations Military Veterans and Disabled Soldiers. <br> <br>Great Provider and Training Facility helping young people and Veterans obtain marketable skills.

Thanks for opening the food pantry. It is a real life saver. You give to us with embarrassment. The food is great. God Bless you and your church.

TEDI is a truly amazing organization. After seeing just one TEDI performance, it was very clear that this program has a very positive impact on a lot of kids' lives. The shows are all done very professionally and it is heart-warming to see the enthusiasm and smiles on all the children performing. There are a lot of dance schools out there whose recitals are cumbersome, boring, and hard to sit through, but NOT TEDI. The dancing and live music is impressive and professional-grade quality. There is a look of PURE JOY written on all the kids' faces as they dance onstage -- it's contagious. You can tell that the TEDI staff know what they are doing and they love the work they do. You can also tell that these kids are on "Cloud Nine" as they perform. From the audience, it seems clear that the experience of learning these dances and performing them onstage has boosted the self-esteem of more than a few kids and that this experience has the potential to be life-changing.

My name is Augustus Perangelo, a freshman at Penn State and I am currently in the process of raising money for Pediatric cancer. I am very intersted in your nonprofit organization Childrens Futures, Inc. I live in Hunterdon County and have been volunteering in the community for 7 years, helping children at Hunterdon Medical Center....collecting magazines and comic books, coloring books. <br>Each year, members of the Robbinsville Education Foundation reach out to the teachers in our school district encouraging them to apply for grants to enhance their teaching. I have been the recipient of several grants awarded by the Foundation, including a Historical Fiction Book Club and a grant to promote tolerance (Ripple of Hope-Using History’s Powerful Stories to Teach Tolerance). Each time that I apply for a grant, I am impressed by the generosity of the Foundation and their dedication. These grants fund innovative, quality classroom programs in grades K-12 and increase student academic achievement in all areas of the curriculum while promoting creativity, leadership, critical thinking, skills in diversity and conflict resolution, and experiences in the visual and performing arts. The Robbinsville Education Foundation is A+ in my grade book! <br>

I grew up in the city of Trenton, NJ. I dealt with many of the social conditions that a lot of young boys and girls still face today. Poverty, hunger, street violence, family neglect, boredom (Trenton doesn't have many opportunities for children after school). I met the director of this org and she invited me, pending my GPA met the team's qualifications, to audition for the drill team. I had never been on one before but I decided, since I didn't have anything to do, that I would try out. I made it. And I loved it. We travelled far and wide. We went to Las Vegas, NV; Atlanta, GA; Rochester, NY and so many other places. They gave me an opportunity to see things I never dreamed I could. I spoke about my position as Team Captain in my college application and I believe my passion for the team is what allowed me admission to Rutgers University. As of May 2011, I am the first person in my family to ever go, and graduate, to college. I attribute my success to the drill team and the leaders of the team. When my house burned down while I was still in high school, the team director took me into her home; her family. She raised me and made sure I made it through high school successfully. This organization is a family oriented team. If you are not family, we make you family. It gives boys and girls, ages 4-18, something to do when the rest of the city closes. It teaches you disipline and teaches you excellence. To always go for the gold and to strive to succeed. Thank you NMDT!!!

A striking planetarium with state-of-the art technology, newly renovated galleries, and an enticing Friends Museum Shop -- that's the New Jersey State Museum located in the dynamic State Capitol of Trenton. Supported by the Friends, the Museum is treasured by the community for its far-reaching, creative educational programs. Come visit!

The Joshua Reiss Foundation sends ALL contributions directly to children's charities and programs. There are NO paid professionals and all workers are volunteers. They have sponsored Quilts for Kids, literacy programs, school improvements and PAL programs.

Great organization with a great mission. For over 100 years, the YWCA Trenton has been eliminating racism and empowering women in the greater Trenton area (New Jersey).

This school is the only music school in Trenton, the only place people can get instruction on any instrument, regardless of their talent or their income. Mostly they teach 8 yr. old beginners on piano, but they also have adults learning sax and bass, as well as preschool music classes. It's a happy place. www.tcmusicschool.com
