My 25 year old son was taking regular classes at West Valley prior to and during COVID. They were a struggle due to his autism, but we had tutors. He ended up dropping out. When the opportunity to go to CAA came up, he was resistant at first, so he took it slow with an entry level get to know CAA class remotely and an in person Dancing with Disney. First day after dancing class he hops in the car with this huge smile. I asked him how it went and he said it was amazing! He was reconnected with students he had known through the years of special ed in lower grades. We have invited those individuals over to our house for them to socialize. Now he takes a baking class, which has got him wanting to cook with me and learn how to use tools in the kitchen. These life skills are huge milestones for him. If it weren't for CAA I don't know how we be were we are. The photos are of the Halloween party CAA threw and the once a year gala where Shane donated his art to help raise money for CAA.

This is such a friendly, welcoming, and supportive group. And the resources they provide the community are invaluable. The speakers have been great, as have the opportunities to make new connections with people who might have job leads, become colleagues, or even become friends.

Run by a dedicated team of founders, leaders and volunteers, Inclusive World completes 10 years this year, addressing a critical gap in providing educational and training opportunities for teens and young adults as they out of school programs. Our daughter has been participating in a wide range of Inclusive World's programs almost since its inception - arts and crafts, software programming, software testing, Microsoft Excel, etc. In addition, she has also participated in various volunteer activities, offering rich opportunities for peer-to-peer interaction. It has been a rewarding, enriching and fulfilling experience for her.

UPWARD's exponential growth has been 100% grassroots which tells you that something unique and good is going on. Senior level professional women are attracted to the well facilitated engagement with peers and the on-the mark-topics. I appreciate that UPWARD forums are not about admiring problems, they are about overcoming. It's about women leaders advancing by connecting with each other and telling our stories, giving advice, and lending a hand. Some call it the good ol' girls network.

This chapter of the League of Women Voters (LWV) is not just for Saratoga, but also encompasses the communities of Campbell, Los Gatos, and Monte Sereno. <br><br>The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League neither supports nor opposes political candidates and parties but does take action on issues. I have served as President of the Montalvo Service Group, four years as an association Board Member, and volunteer docent. This organization serves the underserved students of Santa Clara County, supports artistic experiences for families, for students and for adults, provides quality concerts for the community, and celebrates the arts with the artist in residence program, where new, talented, award winning artists mingle with the public while having time to create new artistic expressions. The staff is welcoming, inclusive and experienced. This is truly fulfilling the mandate of Senator Phelan when he gifted the property to the citizens of California.

The Foundation For Future Science is an organization working with innovative and open-minded professionals for the practical implementation of scientific findings applied to humanitarian and environmental needs. Although registered in the United States, the goal is to work for a positive future and to assist a worldwide initiative of helping educational and scientific programs for all people in order to provide a better living environment. The Foundation supports projects all over the globe, from water supplies in El Salvador to creative music projects in South Africa. <br>Previous projects can be found on their website.

Saratoga Parent Nursery School is an amazing early childhood development parent cooperative preschool that promotes adult/parent education while preparing children for their future education. As a current parent and board member of this school, I am extremely happy with my child's experience for the last 2 1/2 years and look forward to my youngest child's experience starting in September.

Hi, I am funding a porion of the trial between Congress Springs park and Hiway 9. I have recently started giving for this project through our organization because it gives me more control at the local level. Our organization recently funded last summer's Movie in the Park which was a wonderful event. Now we have our sights on funding the feasibility of revamping the Carlson House on the West Valley College Campus. We are proud of our growing organization. Myelin Repair Foundation is truly one of the best places that I could have volunteered for. I believe that their goal of trying to find myelin repair treatments for MS is unique but not too overambitious. I would love to continue to support and work with this organization, because I believe that they will truly do great things for MS patients, and for science, in the future.
