Satchels does an awesome job of caring for the animals and doing evrything possible to get them adopted. So many lives have been saved because of this great non-profit.

The American Porphyria Foundation is an outstanding organization. Their staff at the office helped me through every step of the way through my journey and numerous others just like me. I am so grateful for the help and support they provided to me.

Let's be honest with you I thought that by going to the classes that I were taking with Miss April will be beneficial to me I had a lot of fun and I got some things out of it when it came to me getting help towards the things that I needed to be doing because of my past and because of the things that I were involved in she didn't want to help me I wanted to know how I could get back into my nursing what steps that I need to take because I was in trouble in the past and I was trying to get over that stump and try to better myself by going in back into the career that I always dreamed of I had that going for myself but I had got into some little trouble back in 2000 and it went downhill from there but I thought the class would take me to a better place when I started telling her my story she didn't started talking about what I was doing in my life and and the people that I hung around with and so I'm still overloaded and I was still trying to figure out what can I do to take the steps to get back into the career that I want to be in she told me I had to do this this this and that as far as my lifestyle before she wouldn't even think about helping me get back into the nursing field in other words the people that I hang around the places that I were going she was looking in more into that and not until not into the fact that I was coming to her to get through those steps but everybody else she would help send them back to school teach them how to go here give them the necessary means to get where they want to go but when it came to certain people she has a real problem so in that point I don't go get any food from our place and she told my donations people giving some how you going to give something to the homeless community when you're charging them for it that's how you building all these new buildings and going all over and beyond all you know out here with the rich people are you got to know where you came from and realize where you came from and not turn your head toward the people that's downward don't forget you got a lot of people in your past too you've always not been that bright so I do not recommend her services to anyone

I have proudly worked for Children First for more than 17 years, and have witnessed the high sense of commitment of our Leadership Committee not only to guide us, the staff, but to form strong relationships with other valuable and selfless organizations to form a formidable umbrella to maximize the benefits to offer to the less fortunate children and their families in every need the might have.Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children and their families, and we certainly are achieving that goal. I am a teacher, a happy one since I am living my dream and my life purpose. My most precious reward is to send time with our loving children and see how they conquer barriers and become ready to learn and to be happy as they grow in their social and emotional skills, then their academic readiness to school in a developmentally and individually apropriate practice, inclusion and respect for every culture. We deliver!! We are an amazing TEAM united to support them, children and their families. We are Early Childhood educators and we take it supremely seriously. <br>

Thank God for the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation! When I was going through chemo with stage III Breast Cancer I was saddened by the number of chemo mates who confided they had concerns about buying groceries or getting their medicine, or similar day to day payments that needed solving while trying to beat cancer. I felt so blessed as I had great insurance, caring family, loving church and encouraging neighbors. I made a promise if I still lived to help those not as fortunate as I.<br>I was thrilled to discover there was the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, founded by doctors themselves who heard similar conversations as I did. Not only did they listen but they started the Foundation so cancer patients could get assistance for their non-medical bills, such as rent, groceries, etc. Many FCS employees donate a portion of their salaries to the Foundation, along with donations from individuals and/or various fundraisers. It is amazing and impressive that 100% of all donations goes to helping the patients.<br>As a volunteer one fundraiser I achieved ( with so many helping!) was to walk 30 miles in one day to raise awareness of this charity gem. At another gala fundraiser many businesses donated gift cards and in-kind goods because almost everyone knows someone with cancer.<br>It's a beautiful thing when a non profit can turn around an ugly problem into a blessing that brings relief and peace, so they can focus on getting better. Thank you Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation!<br>

My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at age 62. She had severe calf pain, muscle pain, tremors, slurred speech, frequent falls, loss of balance, and difficulty getting up from a sitting position. She was put on Sinemet for 6 months, and then Siferol was introduced and replaced the Sinemet. Neither standard treatment like B1 and high dose B12 did very little for her. We tried different supplements that didn't work, so last August, our family doctor started her on the PD-5 protocol—the best decision ever! 2 months into treatment she improved dramatically. At the end of the full treatment course, the disease is totally under control. Cases of muscle weakness, constant twitches and tremors eased. My wife has resumed her daily activities. I have never seen a group of people more decided to a cause then the All Star Children's <br>staff, volunteers and leading them Mr and Mrs McGillicuddy. And there is nothing more important than our children. I am very excited to see this Foundation grow and become a<br>shinning example for other state's to follow.

This charity has existed for many years with major support for Prostate Cancer Research. We strongly urge all men to get the PSA examine.

My children attend pre-school at The Florida Center. Both of my children participate in a social skills group and my son receives occupational therapy. The staff are so great at what they do! I am so blessed to have found such a wonderful place for my children to receive services!

I'm a strong believer in the importance of ocean conservation, which is why Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is on my list of places to support.

Harvest House is truly a place where people can find the support to believe in themselves again, take control of their lives, and feel loved.<br>Some of the programs they offer support families and young adults experiencing homelessness, addiction recovery, and emergency shelter, and they also have a food pantry that supports 200+ people from our community, on a weekly basis, and they have been doing all this for 30+ years. <br>Pretty amazing!

From starting out as a client, scared and feeling so alone over 4 years ago, to becoming a volunteer full time with the best and most loving family one could ever have. The past 9 months volunteering at Mothers Helping Mothers has been AMAZING! I’ve created friendships I never thought possible, been supported more than I ever knew I could be, and most of all, when things look like they are just never going to get better, the positive energy lifts my spirits and gives me the strength to move on. This is a bigger family than what I already have, and they have been there with me through every medical diagnosis for nearly a year. They have been there by my side cheering me on through the toughest time of my life back in December, knowing that I would make it through, and I have! I have truly never felt so loved by so many people in such a way that would change my life this much. I’m so grateful for my rough pregnancy because if it hadn’t been the way it was I wouldn’t have found the family that never stops growing.<br>

DO NOT MOVE HEAR!!! This is in Sarasota Florida. The facility manager and maintenance guy do not care about the seniors living here nor address fixing any repairs. It is currently a health hazard for anyone living there. A water pipe burst in my mom's apartment while she was out of town and they did absolutely NOTHING to vacuum up the water. In fact, the maintenance guy left the window open and A/C off which resulted in a petri dish breading ground for mold and bacteria. AND to top it off they never even informed her there was an incident in apartment. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The hole in this ceiling has been here for over a year. I wish I could post more than 4 photos of the horrible conditions to warn everyone to stay clear of this facility. Whoever reads this PLEASE HELP!!!!

A member of my family is here and has informed me of how poor the treatment is here. All patients are required to sign up for an EBT Card and half of the money is taken from the card each month. Being this is a private business they should not be using rehab patients to make money from the state. Meetings without anyone to teach so they all sit and chat for the hour and leave. Most of the rehab trainers are current patients that are finished their rehab and have no formal training or degree. They give the accountability check (head count) to the patients to do, so the manager can play games on his phone. This place needs to be investigated.

I met Mr. Nate Jacobs (Founder/Artistic Director of WBTT) while working for another theater company in Sarasota, FL two years ago. Mr. Jacobs was very friendly and so were his troupe members that I met. I was able to see two shows within WBTT's space. My favorite show of the two I saw was "A Raisin in the Sun." This show was performed in their black box space in the heart of Sarasota's downtown. The playing space is a very intimate one. The seating is perfect with good views and sound throughout. The work is very professional and the artists including Mr. Jacobs; who also writes, directs, and sometimes performs onstage can persuade you to attend more of their performances in the future with great vocals, dancing, and solid acting. If you're in the Sarasota area and are interested in seeing something special, please give this company a try!

I witnessed Sarasota Bay Rotary Club feeding homeless children and giving out free dictionaries as well as personally spending time with children to change lives. Their programs are truly impressive.

NAC is the only accrediting body that solely focuses on standards and best practices for blind and low vision services with the consumer in mind. Lighthouse of Manasota has demonstrated that it meets or exceeds the standards set by NAC for delivery of blind and low vision services. The determination for accreditation is a rigorous process that involves self-examination by the organization, an on-site peer review to verify processes and procedures by a team of professionals serving in the field and a review of the findings by the NAC Accreditation Committee. NAC congratulates Lighthouse of Manasota on its accredited status.

The American Troubadour Project, Inc. is a small, extremely well-managed, focused non-profit that is dedicated to bringing America's history to schools and the public at large through the nation's musical legacy. ATP exists to promote and support performers like Bill Schustik, the American Troubadour and others who have deep and abiding love America's musical traditions and songs. <br> <br>ATP has almost 0% overhead, since all of its board-members are volunteers and every possible cent is put towards its mission - supporting and promoting musicians. It is for that reason that I am extremely proud to be counted as one of the organization's board members.
