I have so far been on two trips with Youthlinc, and I have been beyond satisfied! They do a great job of inspiring youth to create change in not only their local but also global communities. I am beyond grateful to be a volunteer with Youthlinc and to have the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and see the world through a service lens!

HSU provides vital lifesaving programs and services that help animals and the people who love them. From spay/neuter and vaccination programs, adoption, pet retention and re-homing help, reunion help with lost pets, helping other overcrowded shelters, animal behavior assistance, humane education programs, a fun volunteer program, and more, this organization is commendable in so many ways. Their caring mission and widespread impact makes a huge difference!

Why this Building? There are lots of buildings. Lots of meeting halls. What is it about this building? Why only one Alano Club of Salt Lake? For me, and the hundreds of thousands of others who have walked through these doors, there is a unique and individual reverence for this building. <br>I knew I needed to stop drinking years before I found the Alano Club. I had tried multiple times and multiple ways. I talked to professionals, Psychiatrists, Doctors, Priests, and my family. I had been through treatment programs, church retreats, meetings with others and even other Alcoholics Anonymous meetings…not one of these gave me Hope, Community or Purpose that was greater than the addition to Alcohol. <br>The first day I walked through the doors of this old Church Building it was different. I recognized in this old meeting house a sense of the “possible”, I sat in these old rooms, felt the presence of spirit, the maturity of others who had walked these halls, listened to the experience that came from the voices sitting with me in this edifice and I knew I had a chance. <br>We all have these experiences in our lives. There are most certainly different for each of us. As different as there are souls on this world. There is not really a way to explain or quantify it, to measure it like you would a bank ledger, but we all have these experiences. At least if we are able to sit somewhere and listen. <br>Sitting in this grand old building gave me, and thousands of others, that feeling of Hope, the presence of Community and a sense of Purpose! <br> <br>Fred R. <br>Salt Lake City <br>

Wonderful program! Great staff who make the clients who attend feel accepted and worthwhile. I would recommend this program for disabled adults to everyone.<br>Plus the flowers they grow and sell to help support this charity are amazing!<br><br>Please contribute to this wonderful program!

I served for 9 years on the Board of Directors of the Utah Foster Care Foundation, 6 of those as Board Chair. I serve on a number of other non-profit boards in the community, and I was fond of telling my fellow UFCF board members that the Foundation was my favorite. Why? Because, as a social worker with child welfare experience, I was particularly drawn to the organization’s mission of serving and keeping safe Utah’s abused and neglected children. Because of the Foundation staff’s commitment and dedication to the organization’s mission, which served as a model for the board to emulate. Because of the Foundation leadership’s knowledge, skill, and expertise, which made my job as Board Chair all the easier. I saw the Foundation leadership and staff as extended family, and never missed an opportunity to attend the all-staff meetings which brought together UFCF staff from across the state several times a year. There was always plenty of joy and laughter—and hugs—at those meetings. I suppose we were modeling what Utah’s foster families experience on a daily basis as they provide love and safety to Utah’s vulnerable children. I send a virtual hug out to all of those families. Thank you for all you do!
