Great Job distributing movies to children throughout the world. I am grateful that this organization genuinely cares about others. We have a great staff and are helping many children out.

This nonprofit has helped me and my family with furniture and items we needed. They helped us help after losing our housing. We were able to get a home and was able to get beds for our kids a kitchen table and living room furniture. We are eternally grateful for their generosity.

I have been a supporter of Save the Family Foundation of AZ for 32 years. In my experience, I have seen and met multiple families that truly were saved by the programs offered by STF. All families receive counseling, children thru adults, are given housing and assistance with finding employment. As a supporter, I have helped with clothing and furniture donations which these families may keep when they have become self sufficient. <br>One of the families, mother and 2 children, were homeless, living in their car, when they were introduced to STF for assistance. Today, she is a bank manager and had purchased her own home. All three are thriving, 1 daughter in college today.

I set up my donation with Jason, and he was great to work with. The deconstruct team, Dylan and Thomas, were equally as great. They called to give me a heads-up before they arrived, and once they did, they got right to work. They were focused, efficient, polite and respectful. I would highly recommend this team of professionals!

The worst company I have ever worked for! The epitome of a hostile work environment. They do the bare minimum for their Tribal grantees and line their pockets with large sums of government cash in the process! I pray the Government realizes this scam and QUICK!

Desert Club of Mesa is honored to provide over $68,000 in college scholarships during the 2020-21 school year. Desert Club is always looking for enthusiastic, talented, hard working women to join our group. If you would like to meet new friends and contribute your time and talents to the community. Desert Club members contribute to the social, civic, and cultural service to the community. I can't adequately express our gratitude to Tori and everyone involved in our son's room makeover from Room For Joy. It has been literally life changing for our son, Andrew, in very positive ways. His room has improved his health as the contaminants that were impacting him are gone. His room is dark and his bed comfortable, so his sleep is greatly improved. <br><br>In addition to that, it is SUPER COOL!! Andrew is a a Pokemon SUPER FAN and the room is his own sanctuary where he can rest, do school work and have fun. It is a blessing that keeps on giving and we are so deeply grateful for this gift! <br><br>Room For Joy does so much for children who are facing life altering medical challenges. United Food Bank/globe-miami location:<br>I dont mean to complain, but is there a certain time between your hours of operation (M-F 9am - 11:45pm -- closed first Wed & third Thurs of the month) that anyone seeking food should come to your pantry when there is actually more food on the shelves, and not just the boxed food. The reason why I ask is that today, Nov 8, 2018, I brought a friend to the pantry by 9:00am when the pantry opens and my friend said that all that was on the shelves was breads, a small box of some kind of small yellow fruit that was not too good (I dont think this friend needs to be sicker eating foods dangerous for their medical condition), 2 bags of coleslaw, and 3 boxes of spinach leaves. My friend took pictures covertly, and we are sorry for doing this but this seems to be an ongoing issue. Now my biggest complaint is this...is that as my friend was just leaving the pantry, the United Food Bank/Globe-Miami white truck pulled up with food to unload for the pantry and right behind them were at least 7 or so vehicles getting out to get in line for the pantry. I took a video of the entire scenario and for good reason and that is because for the past year I and others notice that certain people are tipped off by someone associated with the pantry when to come to the pantry when there will be lots of food items on the shelves to select from and better selection of food items in the boxes. I've been taking pictures and videos all along because it has been noticed that you barely put food out on the shelves when certain people show up and then put out more food on the shelves when certain other people show up and this goes on between 9am to 12noon each day. I feel that this is wrong! I am a senior citizen and what I see is favoritism going on. I am not about to release my name or the names of others who see this because of fear of passive-aggressive retaliation. The pictures and videos are used because documentation can be altered or not documented. I have heard all the excuses as to why there is no available food, but what I see is incompetency & deliberate favoritism from pantry workers & leaders who decide who is in need & who is not in need of nutritional help. I didn't know Christians actually behave in such a way, especially in administering humanitarian aid. Everybody needs help...everybody! This nonsense of my family & friends count more than your family & friends is utter nonsense and non-christian & non-humanitarian. Family is everyone! The Human Family! No one in your office checks people who are on food assistance that would tell you household size and how much food from the pantry is to be dispensed and how often they can get food from the pantry per month, such as dispensing point tickets for picking out your food. Income, housing issues, or people on social security are rarely considered. The number or point ticket system is based on all food items marked with 1,2, 3, 4, etc that allows poeple to pick their food instead of the pantry dispensing what they want to dispense. This points system eliminates people having no choice but to be given food that they can't eat due food allergies or foods that they cannot eat due to medical conditions such as diabetes, gluten intolerance, protein disorders,insulin resistance etc.and this eliminates food waste. Another issue is the dispensing of certain meat products that are on recall. Other issues that need to be addressed are access to other resources such as Commodities Food that is separate from the Food Banks. I have heard of Food Help at Walmart, but again the info is not made openly available to all people seeking food assistance, just to people in the know are told. Again this is wrong, very wrong. Aren't there any Homeless Shelters in this area who can help with food & more to the homeless, because I dont see any? I dont think that these issues will be addressed properly and fairly, so just to let you know that I have decided to go to state representatives and the presidential contacts with these concerns especially in rural areas.<br>Sincerely, Emily Bechtol

Care for Life is a great non profit organization that creates an unparalleled opportunity for a variety of community members in the Beira region of Mozambique to bring themselves out of the poverty cycle. The program that Care for Life helps the communities implement allows for self-reliance that lasts for years and a lifetime.

I am a volunteer specialists at Child Crisis AZ. Having fun with the kids is the most amazing time. We laugh, read stories, feed, bathe, dress and get to rub their backs at night. When they take that deep breath of sleep they are at peace and so am I. Helping the staff with chores, or spending time with a child that needs extra attention and the staff are busy is what volunteering is all about. The chores are never ending and the staff always thanks you for the help. Volunteering is the most rewarding thing. Try it and you will get hooked.

World missions and children's ministry have been areas I have been passionate about for years. Through KidZ at Heart I have been able combine both of those passions by leading a team of people from my church to train children's ministry leaders and volunteers in Honduras. I especially like the fact we don't take in American resources, but teach them to use just what they have. To see the excitement on the faces of those we have trained won me over. They invite us back each year, hungry for more!

The Episcopal Coalition has paid for and partnered in building 68 homes for under median wage families. Most of these families are single mother with two to four children some of whom are special needs kids. These homes have interest free 30 year fixed rate mortgages with low monthly payments. These homes are of high quality and have won awards nationally for being energy efficient LEED homes. Seven homes were paid for and built in Louisiana after Katrina. The coalition has also paid for and built homes in Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador,Paraguay, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Haiti, Zambia, Romania and Cambodia. The coalition was founded in 1998 and became an independant 501c3 in 2000.

Wonderful organization to help homeless families get back on their feet. It's a hand up not a hand out. Besides providing housing and essentials for homeless families, invaluable programs and services help ensure these families are able to make the best choices to ensure their future success. The staff are caring, giving, knowledgeable individuals.

What a great organization! We have been Volunteering and donating for years. It is so nice to see they don't sell the donations but give them directly to people who need it.

Arizona Scholarship Fund is a horrible organization to become involved with, whether you are the recipient or the donor. The individuals that are hired aren't knowledgeable about the process and the Executive Director works from home, so in result there is no direction in the office, high employee turnover and very little productivity. This results in, a complicated process for the recipient and donor. The website is inconvenient and if you have questions regarding donations or as an applicant, you are better off just not asking. Do not send in any personal documents by mail, it isn't always shredded and the mail isn't always properly distributed. You are far better off donating or applying with a different STO.

I have been to the Mesa Art Center many times . Great place to volunteer or attend an event.

These people have just been accused by the FTC for fraud. Here's part of the story from CNN: <br> <br>"In a rare joint action with attorneys general for each of the 50 states, the Federal Trade Commission says four cancer charities run by extended members of the same family conned donors out of $187 million from 2008 through 2012 and spent almost nothing to help actual cancer patients. <br> <br>The Cancer Fund of America is run by James Reynolds Sr. His son James Reynolds Jr. is the CEO of the Breast Cancer Society. Another charity, the Children's Cancer Fund of America, is run by Rose Perkins, the ex-wife of the elder James Reynolds. He's also the CEO of the fourth charity, Cancer Support Services. <br> <br>The government says the charities claimed to provide direct support for cancer patients, breast cancer patients and children with cancer. 'These were lies,' the government's complaint says. Jessica Rich, chief of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, says that in all, the charities spent about 97% of donations they received either on private fundraisers or on themselves. Only 3%, she says, went to help actual cancer patients."-----CNN

Beware and careful check out these people before placing your love one with these People "Rise"! <br>I found they dime and nickel you to death if you put your son or daughter or love one in day care. I added up one month and left out all their fancying dining out, and it came to $40.00/monthly. They do go and do a lot of actives, but if you don't budget for these actives it may put an additional hardship on already limited income for some of these kids. They told me the kids choose to go to these places like the Olive Garden, Golden Cawcol...I ask them if they really think I beleive these kids all agree of this type of dining without help or is it the care providers that want to eat out really? <br> <br>They have big turn overs of caregivers, if you have a kid that is sensitive as ours was and the people that were their care providers left for new jobs, cause a drift in that they didn't write down the speical needs of some of these kids to help the next new caregiver, not at all as far as I know.....and left these kids to have to start over and some can't handle change without some type of support or knowledge. When this happens to your kid, what does this do to their behavior or ? I found out the hard way that my Kid didn't want to go back he was afaird of this other kid!! The old caregiver knew and kept them apart along with several other kids that had simular problems as ours. There was a few more kids that didn't get along with this one kid.....except the caregiver had move away and no one wrote down this problem. My kid day after day refuse to go even tho he wanted to, even got dress to go on his bus...at the last min. after the bus arrive he refuse to go?! I didn't know at first why he was so upset...but when I talk to the ever changing bus driver's I found out his caregiver no longer work there...and this other kid was brothering him once again. It took a little while to fig out why our kid didn't want to go back to Rise servicce INC. YOU WOULD HOPE THEY KEPT RECORDS ON THIS SINCE IT WASN'T JUST MY KID WAS UPSET IT WAS OTHER KIDS THAT HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS OTHER KID? <br> <br>So I ask for my son to be release from Rise services which shouldn't be a big deal, yet it was...I gave them a 30 day notice and with a meeting too, they refuse to let my kid go?????? Before that we met with my son's DDD person...and talk with her on the phone twice. So this wasn't something that was right now....it took a while to get to this point. <br> <br>I'M NOW SUSPECT THERE IS MORE TO THE EYE THEN GIVING THESE KIDS CARE. <br>I FEEL IT IS ABOUT MONEY!!!! UNFORTUNATE HERE IN AZ DDD CAN TELL US AS THEY HAVE IT'S UP TO RAIS!!! WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND FOR THE YEARS WE BEEN GETTING SERVICES FOR OUR KID NEVER RAN INTO THIS TYPE OF GRAB YOUR KID FROM ANY PROGRAM. <br>I KNOW RAIS HAS FOSTER CARE HOMES, GROUP HOMES, AND HOME CARE ETC. <br>SO ALL I CAN TAKE IT'S ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY CAN GET FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, OR? <br> <br>WHAT????? This nonprofit organization is an awesome program offered to children whom want to play an instrument and are not able to afford rental or are not in any means educated on how to learn how to play an instrument, the Organization Desert Sounds has help children get there instruments and learning to play music on top of expanding children’s minds has also help children from the program bring up grades in school, also volunteers in addition to funding also help to keep the organizations vital. The Director from Desert Sounds has other programs that help children learn other cultural types of music for example the Mariachi group of all ages is also an awesome program offered by Desert Sounds the Director has put in a lot of time into this program and are always looking into more volunteers to add and any donations will be greatly put to use for the future of our children.

Rascally Rabbit Rescue and Critter Haven of Arizona is a wonderful organization for rabbits and their humans.

UNITY has served many youth (14-24) throughout Indian Country. The leadership is through its 250+ youth groups that are affiliated with UNITY. Many of these young people have been highly successful in business, education,& politics. What I have personally observed is the sense of pride, trust, and hope that is instilled in the various youth councils. Not only have they learned more about their own culture and the culture of other tribes, they develop a spiritual connection that is highly honored by their tribal leadership, tribal elders and ancestors. All of this is accomplished through the individual tribal youth who are elected by their peers and given the leadership training by UNITY, Inc. J.R. Cook, the founder and CEO of UNITY, Inc. has dedicated his life to these efforts.
