Students for Liberty has produced one of the best experiences that I've had while working in this movement. I have had the opportunity to do so many cool things with the organization and meet many people that I consider some of my closest friends. It has empowered to take on bigger challenges in the movement and to achieve bigger wins in the advance to fight liberty. If you are a lover of liberty who is wanting to fight for a freer future. I have been working with OBAT since 2014 and have gained extensive experience through long-term involvement in nonprofit programs. I started my career at OBAT in an operational role, where I supported field activities, beneficiary coordination, data collection, and office documentation. Over the years, I gradually took on increased responsibilities, working closely with project teams to support education, health, and community development initiatives. This hands-on experience helped me build strong skills in coordination, reporting, and program support. Currently, I am working as a Project Monitoring Officer. In this role, I am responsible for monitoring project implementation, tracking indicators, reviewing field data, maintaining accurate records, and preparing monitoring and progress reports. My long experience with OBAT has given me a clear understanding of its mission, values, and operational processes.

As a researcher dedicated to developing biomarkers for Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), I have witnessed firsthand the invaluable contributions of Mission MSA to the MSA community. This organization is remarkable for its unwavering support of patients, families, and researchers battling this challenging neurodegenerative disorder. Mission MSA provides essential resources and support groups that significantly enhance the quality of life for patients and their families. Their advocacy and awareness campaigns effectively highlight MSA, fostering a better understanding of the disease and improving patient outcomes. For researchers, Mission MSA facilitates collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and offers funding opportunities, accelerating the progress of biomarker development and clinical trials. By uniting patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and researchers, Mission MSA builds a strong, supportive community dedicated to combating MSA.

I attended RSI in 1988 while in high school and it was undoubtedly the most impactful experience in my academic life. This is a shared sentiment by so many alumni across many years.

ABRACE has been my family’s home away from Brazil for the past ten years. Both of my daughters attend their Portuguese as a heritage language program and have had unique experiences they would not have had otherwise living outside of my country. Besides the Saturday classes, they offer cultural events like festa junina, carnaval, book fair and other opportunities to celebrate our culture and foster a sense of community. This is a small community-based nonprofit, ran by parents and a very dedicated staff. Thank you, ABRACE!

Del has completely changed my life. He is one of the most charitable and helpful human beings I have ever met. From my junior year in high school, Del and the Perfect Game Foundation have helped guide my future career aspirations and education plans. Without him and the organization, I would not be in the position I am in now. Everyone deserves to have someone like Del in their lives.

UMR has given me a way to give back to my community as well as many individuals around the world who are less fortunate. I have been working with them for over 2 years and have done a variety of things from dental kit drives to fundraising for Yemen.

Interning at TYO was by far the best (and most rewarding) work experience I've ever had. TYO is an NGO that is making a sustainable impact among the women and youth from the nearby refugee camps the poorest neighborhoods in Nablus. TYO's multi-generational approach is unique - when a child learns about proper nutrition or hygiene in TYO's non-formal educational classes, their mothers also have the opportunity to learn about diet, exercise, and hygiene in their classes so that changes can be made within the home. During my time at TYO, I learned so much about how to effectively use psychosocial interventions in my classes (I taught a sports class for refugee children ages 9-10) to help my students really understand who they are, where they are from, and why they are important. In just a few weeks I was able to witness profound behavioral changes in my classes by using these interventions - the students were no longer hitting each other or calling each other names; they were beginning to hold hands and make lasting friendships. TYO is exceptional because it considers all the social factors that impact the health of their beneficiaries - for example, the women and children are provided transportation to and from TYO's center, they are given healthy snacks (hummus and wheat pita with carrot sticks and cucumbers), and most of all, they are provided with a safe, enriching center where they can come in and actually be themselves. I would go back and work for TYO in a heartbeat!

The Karabakh Foundation does a great job promoting cultural diplomacy. It plays a valuable role in educating and informing Americans about Azerbaijani history, culture and traditions.

Our adoption experience with America World was amazing. We were completely clueless about how to proceed with adoption from China, but quickly found out that America World's great staff was there to guide us through each and every step, from beginning to end. We cannot speak highly enough of their staff, who have become like family to us. Their attention to detail and sincere caring manner made us feel at ease, even when the process seemed to take forever (not because of them). We highly recommend America World to anyone considering international adoption!

I have volunteered with PFS once or twice a year for the past six years on surgical and rural missions. The level of organization to manage these missions, from organizing international volunteers to patient recruitment, logistics, and surgical and post-operative care, is exemplary. The care and dedication of the team at PFS for the underserved people of Guatemala are inspiring and make me want to continue volunteering with the organization. Our Canadian surgical team plans to return next month for our fifth surgical mission with PFS, and I do not doubt that the week will be a success for both the patients and volunteers who participate in the mission.

Hello, my name is Ash Mantashi and I first started as a volunteer in 2001, assisting Iracambi in gathering and managing their Geographic Information Systems. The Iracambi staff were particularly effective in maintaining good communication and providing ongoing support to me, even as I was based in Canada. In a collaborative partnership between Iracambi and Niagara College in Canada, I was responsible to initiate, and coordinate a GIS thesis project for students at the college. The purpose of this collaboration was to offer students a challenging international project where they could apply their technical knowledge gained during the year, and learn more about Iracambi, Brazil, and the environmental issues, in general. In return, Iracambi had access to insightful work done in another country, and in my opinion, the success of this project was the sharing of knowledge between two dedicated and professional organizations, and it also inspired students to engage in a multidimensional, complex and culturally-sensitive project. The experience of working with Iracambi was very rewarding for me as well and shortly after, I went to work in South America, and then Africa. Today, I enjoy sharing my life-changing international experiences with my students and colleagues, and I like to raise awareness about environmental issues, the importance of working in cross-cultural teams, and giving back to communities.

I joined the Board of McLean Trees Foundation (MTF) in 2013. It is impressive to see that this organization is responsible for most of the trees in the public areas of central McLean. Although other organizations, like Fairfax ReLeaf, operate in Fairfax, only MTF is active and interested specifically in McLean. The Board members are highly qualified. I am a Master Gardener, as is the Chair. We also have a Master Naturalist, a Tree Steward, and members active in the business community. The Board members are devoted to the tree projects and receive absolutely no personal gain, other than satisfaction from the MTF's achievements. Most of the Board members are donors to MTF and also contribute their time and effort to tree planting activities. I have helped bring the MTF into the digital age by designing the MTF logo, letterhead and making its website. This year we received a grant for the Neighborhood Tree Program and are working on publicizing MTF and expanding the volunteer and donor lists.

Global India Fund has allowed me to donate my time and services in a way that empowers young girls in India. By living in the US I did not know how to give back to. GIF allows me to donate services, money and time. GIF is portal that empowers donors such as me to make a decision on which cause and which organization I want to give back to. <br> <br> GIF recently partnered with Johnson& Johnson on a Stayfree campaign, providing young girls in India with a 6 month supply of sanitary napkins, 2 medical check ups, and a 3- month supply of folic acid for underprivileged girls. 1 in 3 girls drops out of school because they lack proper hygiene and 1 and 2 girls drops out of school because they lack proper nutrition. With a donation of $15, one girl was provided all these items, and thus also helping her stay in school.

As a colleague at a partner nonprofit serving the homeless, I am impressed by what Gifts for the Homeless accomplishes. They listen to their partner's needs and move a lot of people to generosity for DC's homeless. And, they are completely operated by volunteers, who obviously have a ton of commitment.

SFMOMA has a great permanent collection in addition to exciting exhibits that change frequently. The museum also has a great kids area to make art fun and interesting for children too. The price isn't bad for students but general admission can be pretty expensive depending on the exhibition they're showing.

I live pretty far from these people, so I personally haven't been able to help much, but so far I've helped by purchasing one of the items the volunteers have made to raise money. I hear so much about the kids involved with this organization, they have been doing so much!
