I have a situation, my ex husband is a previous domestic violence offender. After over 10 years of marriage he started cheating and divorced me. During the divorce I found out he was using my electronic signature and my identity for his finiceial gain. I had no idea. He was in absolute control. He refused to fallow the court order to provide the financial documentation. He listed me and my 3 children as renter's in our family home and then I was arrested as trespassing. I am now facing 3 mistametors and became homeless. Domestic violence funds and grants put a roof over my head last December. However because of his bad acts, false reports and pure evil I am unable to get a job. It was a divorce without children (step children) two under age. He spread rumors which caused my 16 year old daughter to be placed in dhs custody for 15 months. My daughter During Covid was moved a dozen times and traumatized severely. I also found that my ex husband placed a 3rd party in my life to keep me quite and obedient During the divorce. There was a arrest in May 2021 at my home where this 3rd party was arrested for making a IED which the police report and news state he planned on using it during a domestic dispute. This man was released and my ex husband has not been investigated. The facts are that I believe my ex committed spousal fraud and identity theft. My children's along with my information was used for his finiceial gain. He had hidden his stock investments, multiple retirement 401K's and it is out of control. He's whereabouts are unknown and is avoiding imprisonment.

Northtown church of Christ has provided assistance to many of the needy in our community. They have provided gas, good, transportation, assistance with utility bills, spiritual guidance and the list goes on. Where others have turned them down, Northtown COC steps up and produces

The Hope House is a great concept, but the majority of the current staff fall extremely short in actually providing the much needed services that are promised to the clients and advertised to the community. The DIRECTOR, COORDINATOR, and CASE MANAGER go out of their way to belittle, berate, humiliate, and dehumanize the clients. All three also participate in gossip with clients regarding other housemates. On SEVERAL different occasions I have witnessed the coordinator withhold physician prescribed medications from clients for reasons as simple as being one minute late to the window, and even the coordinator herself coming in late. This means 'Med time' has come and gone, absolutely none of the clients received there medications, and were consequently told 'too bad'. The hope house is constantly requesting funds from the public to improve programs and toiletries clothing cleaning supllies etc yet these things are never actually bought they are also donated.

Hi, My name is Debbie and I came to "A Door of Hope" in January 2010. I didn't have a place to live and a friend introduced me to Rev. Brosha Gattenby who has a ministry and safe home for women in need. I was given a nice bedroom and access to all I need in the home. I am able to go to church for every service and now I can settle down to to focus on what to do and where to go from here, or while I am here. I am so very thankful to have learned of this place and people that still care about those in need. Rev. and Mr. Gattenby have shared their home and helped many through out the years. They are vibrant, healthy, dedicated and very capable of continuing their calling in ministry for homeless women in need of help or assistance. This home is very large and the entire 2nd floor has be designated for the homeless women. There are 4 large bedrooms upstairs, 2 kithenettes, a very large Bathroom and designated area for Chapel, class and the ministry office with access to the large kitchen downstairs. Since I have been here I have such a peace and feeling of well being. I believe I may be able to help in this ministry if God so leads. I have been able to get some direction for my life as I look for outside employment. I am very thankful to God and the wonderful people He has put in my life. He is The Awesome God who loves and cares for me and everyone. Thank you 'AChor Ministries, for giving me opportunity to enter A Door of Hope for safety and peace so that I may hear God more clearly regarding the direction He wants for my life.
