The staff at Angela Hospice were phenomenal! I can’t think highly of them during our time in need. They were so attentive to helping us with all of our needs, from the volunteers to the staff checking in on every single family member was a blessing for all of us! We knew my Grandpa was struggling as this is not an easy thing to process and experience. Everyone at Angela Hospice was excellent, as this was a hard time for all of us! Everyone here was great and we were very fortunate to have them take care of us during this time! Anyone is very lucky to have Angela Hospice staff checking in on them! May god bless them all! They are true angels!!!!!

Ashes to Glory provided invaluable guidance in the search for the right treatment center. They know what is required to achieve a successful recovery....both clinical and spiritual counseling. They are personally aquatinted with the leadership of treatment centers and provided direction based on personal knowledge of the program offered. <br> <br>Additionally, the financial support was extremely helpful in making this manageable for our family. <br>Ashes to Glory was a great blessing for our family! We are so thankful.

Livonia Kids & Families/Breaking Barriers for Kids and Families does so much for our local communities. They provide learning opportunities to cognitively impaired students through their food pantries and greenhouse.

As the mom of a child with developmental disabilities, I worry about my child's future once they complete school. I appreciate that this organization is working towards meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who may not be able to pursue a college education or trade career. This provides individuals with ID/D with opportunities to feel like they're contributing to society and making an income comparable to peers. This organization also looks for ways to integrate these individuals into society and the community in which they live by allowing the people they serve to share their passions with others.

Our Non Profit, Livonia town Hall, has supported Seedlings for many years. They are a wonderful resource for Braille books for children all over the country. Staffed by many volunteers, they work to turn countless children’s books into Braille so every child is exposed to excelllent literature! They are a unique, diverse, and well run organization!

Incompetent, Fraudulent billing practices.<br>I saw my doctor April 1. My insurance paid BY Electronic Fund Transfer on April 25. <br>I am still getting billed, and threatened with collections. Calls to the halfwits in the billing department have been a complete waste of my time. Lots of promises--zero results. Nothing gets done. Nothing gets fixed. The credit rating it has taken me a lifetime to build will be ruined because of the overwhelming incompetence--and complete indifference-- of Trinity Health. <br>Trinity Health is to be avoided at all costs. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They claim to be Catholic but ignore a basic Commandment--Thou Shalt Not Steal. <br>My next step is going to have to be with my attorney. Unlike Trinity, she is honest and will get this fixed.

For parents looking to place their trust in an organization and staff that will deeply care for their daughter and not only work to develop her skills and talent in soccer but also develop, teach, and prepare her for life, the Michigan Hawks is the right place. Having years of expereience with my own children at the club and literally decades of referrals from other families, I really just can't say enough.

They don’t actually care about the dogs at all. They emailed me with absolutely horrible grammar, and eventually just stopped replying to my questions.

Guardian Angel truly cares about the pet they save and the families they create in the process. They never give up on the lives of an animal who still has fight left in them. We have loved two dogs they rescued, more than I can ever express. And in the process have become huge fans of the work that GAAR does. I can never thank them enough for the little lives they trusted us with. They

An excellent free resource for foster families! Kids placed in foster care often arrive with just the clothes on their backs - by visiting the Foster Closet, they can 'shop' for new and like new clothes, shoes, toys, books, hygiene products, school supplies and baby equiptment at no charge! This is an all volunteer run program and recieves no state or federal funding.

As an annual donor to this wonderful Organization, I not only know where my dollars are going I am invited to participate in client events to get an opportunity to meet with the families this Organization assist. Building Families First Community Organization is a smaller nonprofit that devotes all of it time and 83% of dollars on clients they serve. I would suggest donating to this Organization.

Al and Michelle are great people who are using their tragic experience to help others. Whether it's bring bringing dinner to the cancer floor at Mott or doing Christmas in July, the Foundation tries to bring some sunshine to people who really need some.

My family just found out that we are at risk for Huntington's Disease after my father was diagnosed last week. We had no idea where to turn to for advice and information. HDYO had numerous helpful videos and tons of information that has helped me to understand the gravity of what we are dealing with.

I have visited the Art Road Non Profit art classes in action. This is an amazing program. I am a teacher and I am so grateful to have art classes still available in my art district. My students have multiple and severe disabilities and I see the joy on the faces of my students each time they go to art class. Art allows them to express themselves in alternative ways that they do not have access to during the rest of the school day. I was able to witness this with a classroom of children with disabilities at Edison Elementary, as an Art Road Non Profit volunteer. The Art Road staff and volunteers embraced all of the children in art class that day and let them express themselves in their art and encouraged individuality. As a teacher and a parent, I am always inspired by organizations that can reach students and help them build confidence. I have witnessed first hand how utilizing arts and creativity can help children overcome insecurities, and challenges. This is what Art Road is all about. We have to keep the arts in schools for those students that need encouragement to remain engaged in school. Art Road helps all children but especially touches children at risk. I have witnessed the passion of the staff and volunteers and know that they are truly dedicated to each child they work with.

Love, empowerment, ethical, proactive and dynamic are the words I would use to describe Community Opportunity Center. They lovingly and comprehensively house and support Developmentally Disabled adults, since 1965. The company was foundered by family members of the developmentally disabled, and has managed to grow and retain the family bonds and family feel in all of the homes and apartments that they have. A rare find. <br>

Just received a donation from a foundation (request anonymity) for money to be used by the EAGF for children with special needs. This foundation has researched and trusts the HIGH VALUE that EAGF can put their money to use on the children, not on ADMIN or salaries. <br> <br>Just Received a grant from a Livonia Foundation to help Livonia,MI kids with special needs. <br> <br>These foundations trust us to distribute a very high percentage of their donation to the charity's true work: kids with special needs and their families. We promise to do so.

There were a few of us, who attended this grove's Samhain ritual, this year [and month]. It was our first time, and they are located in an area not easy to find, at all [important info not even being on a map, the address not showing on the road - and it was dark] so we were very, very late. There were a couple people who were friendly to us; one of whom, was a visitor, themselves. The other was a lady at the house. She was very sweet. The rest of them quite literally acted like we weren't there [avoiding eye contact, not responding to us, or engaging, etc.] - and snubbed us, outright. <br> <br>Rob, the head of the grove, was rude, snarky, immature - and completely unsympathetic to the fact that we were first-timers. We were asked to introduce ourselves, but that was the extent of our inclusion or their interaction with us. We were given no direction, and were not filled in on anything; yet they treated us like we were stupid for not knowing. By the way - their site leaves out obvious and important info that the public needs to know, in terms of being prepared for their event and potluck, etc. [so you don't end up in a some fix, that is]. I'm glad I followed my instinct, and asked the right questions. There was also a woman, I believe her name was Gen - who was especially rude. I had made a large dish to share, and she complained nastily - aloud - about some ingredient in it that was disgusting and made her want to puke. One who I think was one of their own - even commented against her, that everyone else liked it. Not only have I been a very successful cook of 24+ years; but yes - everyone else loved it, and were going back for seconds and thirds [there were no strange or disgusting ingredients - if I even need to say that]. She was just being hateful; and why? She didn't even know me. She literally ignored me when I spoke to her or asked her questions, and didn't even try to hide her dislike for me. There was another girl who was cold and standoffish at first, but warmed up, later on. <br> <br>The few of us, individually and collectively, had an all-around awkward and unpleasant encounter with this grove. I was taken aback, because they claim to be this open-to-the-public, welcoming group; with all these noble views and aims and philosophies...but in reality, they were brazenly unwelcoming, incredibly rude... I just don't understand it. And I really hate to say this, because we went with open mind; and looked forward to meeting and sharing this holiday with some pagan family, and immersing ourselves in such an atmosphere...but truthfully, it really was that bad; and these people [save the few exceptions] - were poor excuses for “public servants”; nevermind Pagans or Druids! It was an utter disgrace, and disrespectful; not only to us, but to Spirit - and themselves. I honestly don't get why they even bother walking such a path, when it so clearly goes against everything they really are; or why they publicly welcome the public, when they are so ill-mannered toward them. It was disgusting. It really was. I wish I could have given a good review; we hoped this would be an event we'd return to. But people need to know what they're in for, dealing with this group. I hope they treat others better than they did us. Even so - they still treated us, like this. And not that anything would excuse the way they acted - but the only thing we were guilty of, was being visitors. First-time visitors, at that. We apologized for being late, explained what happened, and were friendly and respectful - even after they made it clear by their manner, that we weren’t actually welcome. I’m a very understanding and warm person; and there were no two ways or misinterpretations, regarding their manner with us. It was unprovoked, uncalled for, and downright mean. That kind of behavior speaks volumes of true character, as far as I’m concerned. And though we missed a lot - what we did catch of the ritual, and then the ancestral dinner - there was no atmosphere of sacredness and respect, even to the Spirits. The general attitude was very flat and uninspired, like they were just going through the motions. This was on top of the overall negativity. It felt very empty, and certainly devoid of spiritual presence. Anyway...my advice: Consider dealing with people more worthy of your time, effort, gifts...whatever. This grove has neither the true Spirit of humanity - nor of Paganism or Druidry. Hopefully, they will consider themselves, and turn that around.

I get frustrated, as a volunteer, when I can't connect what I do (give time, expertise, money, etc) to a measurable impact. I understand that this is sometimes rightly the way it is, but my volunteering "profile" is to want to work in organizations where I can see results. That's the sweetest thing about working with Sweet Dreamzzz. Every week during the school year, I see our mission in action. That mission is to improve the health, well-being and academic performance of at-risk children and their families by providing sleep education and bedtime essentials. Science has determined that lack of adequate sleep is a key contributor to many of the issues affecting children today: difficulty learning and paying attention; physical, mental and emotional health, obesity and others. The Sweet Dreamzzz volunteer 'sleeper teachers' deliver the message directly to elementary school kids (and often their teachers and parents) in a fun and memorable way. Follow up studies now in progress are showing that kids and families are changing behaviors. "Sleep fitness," as we call it, is a low-cost, painless and effective antidote that has a life-long impact on the child, their family and the community as a whole.
