Lakewood Nonprofits and Charities

The CFI office in Marysville serving northwest Washington helped me. I was trapped in my home because the wheelchair I got, broke and the company that sold it to me said they could not get any parts until January 2023. It broke in April. CFI went above and beyond advocating for me to at least get a loaner until mine is repaired. It was delivered this week and I feel like I have my life back. Now I can get outside, go to visit friends, go to doctor appointments and go shopping. I can't say enough about CFI, they did in 2 weeks what I was unable to do in 6 months. I love them.

In this pandemic year, we are choosing to make a generous donation to EFN on behalf of our entire extended family. Thank you for all the dedicated, hard work that you do.

EFN continues to build relationships with other community providers so more families can have the much needed support and understanding.

There is an amazing non profit organization, that have helped me in alot of ways. Matter of fact more then once. Which is Associated Ministries. I was homeless and they helped with my move in. In a time of need when i didn't have anything or anyone. I feel like if there is anyway i can hepl. By volunteering in order to give back to the community and tax payers. I am on a fixed income and i just want to show my appreciation by, doing some free work and giving a helping hand. I am not a lazy person and i dont use resources just to have an easy way out. So for that i would like to give back.

KWA In-Home care is a grass roots nonprofit agency in Washington that assists with multicultural and multilingual social services. The had helped with Senior Services, Low- Income Housing, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Victim Services, Social services, Community Health Care and Education, and Naturalization and Citizenship Services. They are Amazing Care with Amazing Care givers. <br>www.kwacares.org <br>

If this charity has been registered and is run by Jason Hoffman of Critter Encounters in Florida, this is a fraudulently registered organization whose name was stolen from us by Mr. Hoffman for his own gain. He is living off of his donations and has had many of his reptiles die because of lack of care. He has been reported to Fish and Wildlife and I have made a police report about this. If this organization was not registered by Jason Hoffman, I apologize for the inconvenience, however if it is registered by Jason Hoffman, beware. I was told about A Common Voice back in 2010 while I was receiving services through Catholic Community (Wrap Around) Services. I was a Parent having an extremely difficult time raising my teenage daughter with ADHD, ODD and a 12 yr old son that has Aspergers, ADHD, ODD, and they had severe emotional and behavioral problems. I didn't go for several months because I thought I had it under control. Then one day I went I just didn't want to bother anyone in my family or friends with the crisis that I was facing. Once I went I was greeted with a warm smile from the group facilitator introduce herself Sherry Lyons She shared her "Story" on how she got where she is today. She was parent having difficulty raising a child with significant mental health/ behavioral needs. I fell into my seat listen to every word. Amazed and wanted what she had strength, insight and confidence. With what she had shared I felt that I could share my troubles without judgement. <br>I felt really supported, connected and most of all I felt I had some tools I could try to improve my situations. I got a schedule and kept coming back. It was the first time I left my house for myself by myself. A Common Voice taught me more then any counselor, therapist, or any family members could. <br>I've attended many of the Free Parent workshops and everytime I get new information. My favorite is Healthy Boundaries, Self-Care Day, What we focus on grows-Strengths. Thank You, A Common Voice your a life changer!! : ) <br>

I first visited Lakewold Gardens about a year ago. What a surprise! It's in Tacoma and I live in Seattle and I couldn't believe I'd never gone before. It's so beautiful and peaceful, with even a neat little garden shop on the premises. The grounds are gorgeous with so many beautiful plants and trees. My friend and I decided that we wanted to come back to Lakewold in all seasons as we knew it would offer year round pleasure.
