They're incredibly hard to get ahold of and extremely unprofessional. <br>I saw a dog on petfinder that I was interested in, so I went to Wish Upon A Rescue's website to fill out an application. After completing the application, it said to allow 2-3 days to hear back from them, and if you don't hear back then you could reach out. After about a week I sent them a couple emails inquiring about my application. I heard nothing back for a few more days, and I noticed they are very active on social media so I sent a message to their Facebook account in hopes that I could receive an update. I got an automated message back and then waited for a response and never received one. They continued to post while my message was left on read. I sent another message a few days later that was also ignored. 2 weeks after I applied for the dog I commented on one of their posts for that day inquiring about my application, and only then did they message me immediately notifying me the dog had been adopted. I let them know that they should consider at least removing the dog from petfinder and their website then so no one else tries to apply for him, and they never replied. I went on to make a post on Facebook expressing my frustration with their communication, and tagged them so they would be aware of a client's experience with them and hopefully do better in the future. A MONTH LATER, a woman claiming to be a foster for wish upon a rescue commented on my post, attempting to vilify me for not being happy with their communication. She was very rude and standoffish. She continued to argue with me on my post saying that I need to "step up and volunteer". After this exchange of comments, I made a Facebook post notifying people of this foster for this organization arguing with me on my previous post, and to be aware of the people from this organization if they are considering adopting from them. I was then blocked by their official Facebook page after this post. <br>The way this organization conducts itself is very unprofessional and disappointing. I don't think they realize that behaving this way is only punishing the animals they are fostering, because people will be less inclined to adopt from them with how they operate. <br>I will try to include photos of all of this and you can read it to form an opinion of your own.

They raise money for other charities and do it for free!

I called and talked to a lady at this agency and her name is Dwana WIlliams, she was so helpful and so knowledgeable about how to help those facing homelessness. I cannot thank her enough for all the help, the resources and comfort I got from speaking with Dwana. Dwana really helped me feel a sense of comfort and it is because of her that I was able to assist and find help for my relative. So thank you so very much Dwana for your time, your comfort, your knowledge and for all the resources. Your professionalism and help really makes a person feel like they have support. I volunteered here for a packing day when I was on my vacation. It was an amazing experience! The love that was felt for our troops was felt throughout the packing was overwhelming. They really care for those deployed overseas. We continue to support them from a distance. Hopefully planning our vacation around another packing day!

As both a family member of several patients served by JACH and a volunteer, I cannot say enough about how caring and kind everyone associated with the organization is. <br>

When a volunteer was asked why they were looking for free cats (on a buy, sell, swap site at that) when their web site clearly states they do not take owner surrenders this is what the rescues spokes person had to say... <br> <br>"I really don't have to explain myself to you but we have a cat shortage right now and we are unable to find any from our high kill shelters so we are looking for people who want to get rid of their kittens" <br> <br>Seriously? A 501c3 saying they do not need to explain themselves AND claiming they can't find cats in kill shelters? <br> <br>

We are so thankful for MLH and the care that Kera Lewis-Rodriguez gives our children. We found MLH through a referral and have been nothing but pleased with the care our children receive and the growth we witness in them. My daughter was reading after just turning three, and our one year old's vocabulary and fine-motor skills are increasing daily. Kera is a fantastic provider. If you are in need of a safe and loving environment where you know your children will be happy, then certainly visit MLH!

I love this foundation. It has a strong presence on the east side of Joliet. They give out quite a few scholarships to deserving college-bound student. Keep doing what you do best!
