Morrison Mentors has significant issues with management and workplace culture. The environment often feels unprofessional, with poor communication and, at times, a condescending tone from leadership. The workload is demanding relative to the compensation, and expectations can feel unreasonable without adequate support. Additionally, aspects of the payment structure and overall practices raised concerns for me. Altogether, it created a stressful and unsustainable work environment. Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication and fostering a more respectful, supportive culture. Address internal biases and take accountability for employee concerns. Creating a more transparent and fair structure, while actively listening to feedback, could go a long way toward improving employee retention and long-term growth.

As a long-time volunteer at an INN soup kitchen in Suffolk County, I can confidently say that this organization offers an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's lives. The dedication and compassion of both the volunteers and INN staff are truly remarkable, and I hold them in the highest regard for their tireless efforts.<br>While it can be disheartening to witness the sheer number of individuals in need, INN demonstrates that a genuine mission attracts compassionate individuals who consistently perform small miracles. This organization is a beacon of hope, bringing together kind-hearted people committed to making a difference.<br>The experience of volunteering with INN is both humbling and rewarding. It's a testament to the power of community and the positive change that can occur when people come together with a shared purpose. For anyone looking to contribute to their community and touch lives directly, INN is an excellent choice. This organization is truly a blessing to those it serves and those who serve alongside it. ABBA (Able Body of Believers Alliance) Leadership Center is a 501(C)3 not-for-profit, faith-based organization that is located in Hempstead, New York. ABBA takes a holistic approach in addressing the needs of men and women in our community. We focus on reuniting men and women with their families in a covenant keeping relationship that naturally combats the negative influence of drugs, crime, violence, gangs and poverty. Biblical principles are the building blocks of all our teaching and they are the foundation for the reason we exist. <br>Pivotal to ABBA is reaching men and women entangled in the criminal justice system, to reduce the high rate of recidivism. ABBA Leadership Center Inc. recognizes that in order for it to reach its objectives, the combined effort of the entire affected community must be brought to bare if we are to effectively address the crisis of the dysfunctional male. A cross section of community-based and faith-based organizations must form an alliance to work in unison to meet the need and develop a comprehensive strategy to rebuild the broken lives of men and women in crisis situations; be it jail, homeless shelters, drugs and alcohol programs or the average “Joe” aimlessly going through the motion of life. The bible says, “Though one be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:18 NIV). A broad based partnership alliance of community and faith-based organizations is absolutely essential to the healing and restoration of disenfranchised men and women in the criminal justice system. Job Readiness/Life-skills Work Experience Training Program for the Hard-To-Employ. <br>In November of 2010, ABBA Leadership Center, in partnership with the Zenith Group Inc., Hi-Lume Corp and Conifer Le-Chase implemented a pilot work experience Job Readiness Training Program for hard-to-employ ex-offenders and high-risk youth and young adults in the construction industry. Working with chronically unemployed high risk ex-offenders and young adults, we initially placed 14 men on a construction site in the Village of Hempstead. <br>The resulting success of this initiative has allowed ABBA to expand its pilot program to several other construction sites, including Mills Creek construction site at 303 N. Main Street in Hempstead and West Hempstead. The success of this pilot program has necessitated the creation of two new full time staff positions: 1) a Job Development Director, and 2) an Ex-Offender Job Development Specialist. This initiative is not exclusive to ex-offenders, but instead focuses on chronically unemployed men and women throughout the Village of Hempstead and surrounding communities of Nassau County.<br>At present our partnership includes the Hempstead Development Agency, Leadership Training Institute, United-way Youth Build, The Community Development Commission of Long Island, Belfor Restoration Corp., Concern For Independent Living, Racanelli construction, Renaissance Downtown Development, Amazing Contracting 11, ATEC Welding, Park East Construction, Conifer Lachase construction, Red Rock Industries, Trilydia, TACA ltd, and others. <br>

Helping poor people in places where no one wants to go unless they have love for the humans. I love helping, but we need lot of help to be able to support the poor communities..

Diana and her team are world class. Their “can do” and positive attitude have created needed and impactful programs, most recently as a result of Hurricane Sandy, but for many years before that seek to harness the power of volunteer towards making a difference in Long Island. I’m thrilled to be part of the same professional network.

I have a great deal of experience with LTI. I know them well because they attempt to serve my community. However they fall short. I know many who have worked with and for this organization and they have nothing positive to say about their experience. <br> <br>Mr. Jackson is rude and does not really have a love for this community [I've spoken to him several times, he is crass, candid, and he is unable to convey kindness]. He is evidently not a great boss because this agency can't maintain or keep employees for very long. They also have a very high turnover rate of volunteers [I know people who were peer educators there]. <br> <br>I personally know of some underhanded ongoings from the inside [such as, fudging info in order to maintain funding, hiring his family even though they are incompetent and covering up indecent behavior at the group home etc.] <br> <br>I recently learned that funding ended for one of their programs and they had to end the program. I am anticipating that sooner rather than later, the whole operation will be shut down to make room for more productive, honest, caring, and effective agencies. <br> <br>
