For 100% volunteer, this organization is very effective in getting the community involved with environmental stewardship. My whole family has helped in events like trash cleanups, tree plantings, and water quality monitoring. Everyone I've worked with are friendly and knowledgeable, knowing their local actions are improving the "big picture" for the environment.

I cannot say enough about how hard everyone there works to help the child care programs in Western Maryland. APPLES staff members are dedicated to offering high quality in-person and virtual workshops that are informative and interesting. They have a wide variety of trainers who are interesting and engaging. When child care programs ask for help, someone is always there to answer questions or assist in any way possible with anything from Credentialing to children's challenging behaviors. As a busy director, I know that I can always count on APPLES to help or find someone who can help me. Thank you for all you do!

After going to a few plays I volunteered with the Potomac Playmakers as a stage manager. This past year I became production coordinator. This is a great company with a bright future. We acquired our own building recently and are in the process of renovation now. Come see our shows!

Supporting and Strengthening the Baltimore Community through film<br>http://www.md-filmfest.com/<br><br>'Only by giving are you able to receive more than you already have.' The giving people make the world go round. On Giving Tuesday, I am pledging to give and support a non-profit organization that gives character to the city of Baltimore; and that is the Maryland Film Festival. <br>Each year, they host a film festival based in Baltimore City, a five day festival attracting film lovers locally, nationally and internationally. The festival provides such an eclectic range of films- from documentaries to quirky, romantic shorts. The noncompetitive nature of the festival provides a relaxed, easy going atmosphere for everyone involved. There's something there for everyone, which is what keeps people coming back each year, I think. <br>In the wake of the Baltimore protests, events around the city were getting canceled one after another. I was worried the Maryland Film Festival would have been one of them. I couldn't have been more wrong. It wasn't about being afraid of what was happening around the city, but quite the opposite actually. The festival was had, and in fact one of the best ones yet! They embraced the events, and took the opportunity to invite guest directors and filmmakers to speak as part of a panel discussion, called Writing Race. It was important to the festival; it was important to the people of Baltimore; it was important for the good of mankind. <br>My gift on Giving Tuesday will go to the Maryland Film Festival in hopes of making my beloved city of Baltimore a stronger, more connected, less divided place to live and work.

I have worked with the C & O Canal Trust on several occasions and have found the staff and board to be dedicated and passionate professionals. Of particular value has been their work in engaging the communities that border the Canal Towpath and National Historic Park; not only in increasing appreciation of the asset and resource but also in improving the visitor experience in the region. <br> <br>On several occasions I have also recommended to friends and colleagues, a stay in the Canal Quarters. To a person they have not been disappointed and rank the experience at the top of the list.

Greetings, This is a non-profit organization that is reaching out to lost, hurting souls. There are many that are looking for healing and we have a passion for helping the bleeding to stop in many lives. We need the support of you to help continue our outreach to those that need their wounds to heal. We have to do it step by step: 1, identify the need/s, 2, have them to acknowledge their need/s, and 3, seek spiritual, alcohol, substance abuse and mental counseling. It is an holistic approach that is needed to collaborate with other profession to accomplish the goals that are set before us. We are also established to help ministers train to become all they can through the word of God.
