I was a single mother of two, pregnant and ready to move into my car to get out of an abusive relationship when I came across My Fathers House. Ever since then my life has been nothing but blessed. Since making this life changing decision and joining this community I have not only learned life/financial skills that will last me a lifetime. I have paid off ever bit of debit I had and I’m now saving to buy a house. I was a wandering lost soul and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to find myself again at. This place isn’t just a shelter it’s a home and the staff becomes your family.

After signing up last year and paying for registration the state went into lock down. Families we're told they would be credited for next years season. Well here we are 2021 and we still cannot participate due to the pandemic. Was basically told by the president of the organization that i have no rights to my money back because they are "non profit" even though i did not make a donation i only signed up and paid for the registration fee. The president and others were rude, accusatory and not concerned with my families health. What a horrible experience and a horrible organization.

I've been with this charity from the start. Our sole purpose is to bring hope and help to the poor and forgotten in developing countries, mainly widows and orphans. Right now we work in INDIA and RWANDA supporting orphanages, building schools, holding medical clinics, and supply clean water through water wells and installing bathrooms. These are just some of the projects we have been a part of over the years. Never a boring moment as we try to keep up with all the work. Entire communities are being transformed as we reach out and work with our partners in these countries. Overhead expenses are limited as most of our fundraising goes directly to the cause. We love what we do and are passionate about making a difference in people's lives!

In Dec. 2017 my wife went to the emergency room with back /shoulder pain and numbness in her left arm.<br>After the EKC was good then diagnosed with a mussel cramp in her shoulder blade. The next day went to<br>our regular doctor and was e-rayed and found a herniated disc in her neck. Then when the bill came we were<br>charged for an IV and solutions that we didn't receive. They were not willing to help out with taking any<br>of those items off the bill. I'm not going back there. Don Lovett

An amazing experience bringing art and creativity to kids getting chemotherapy. This organization is making it's small piece of the world beautiful and bright with the ultimate goal of a world without cancer. It was a fun and humbling experience to sit with the kids and parents making art and having fun helping them get threw a difficult time.

Passion Project and Life Purpose<br><br>I was just a 19-year-old college student setting out on a career path in business when the goal of my career became clear: not profit but purpose.<br><br>At that moment, I realized that all of my life experiences and ambitions would combine to create something that was bigger than myself by using my business skills and education to bring about meaningful social impact in response to social injustices.<br><br>The result was the co-founding of Beacon of Hope (https://beaconofhope.org) alongside my father with the goal of empowering children and families to overcome the many challenges they faced and create a better future for themselves and for all of us.<br><br>It was more than a career goal, it was the unfolding of a life purpose and that sense of purpose has only grown stronger with each passing day since then. 7 years later, I am as inspired as ever by the human potential and particularly the potential of children.<br><br>I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential and that given the right resources, they can do just that and change the world in the process.<br><br>There is, to me, no reason why I was born into the life that I was born into, filled with opportunity, while so many others are born into situations where even basic survival is an uncertainty.<br><br>I was born in a country where public education is a given and other public services abound, whereas the families we work with in Latin America and the Caribbean often don't know where their next meal will come from and their children have little hope of furthering themselves through education.<br><br>It is the only way I can conceive of leading my life. I feel a sense of duty in working to create opportunities and provide resources to those who are currently underserved. It is a collective duty that we all share and that we can all work together to achieve. Indeed, we are doing so.<br><br>With just one life that has been impacted and improved through our efforts, one child that will grow to overcome poverty, every single dollar, volunteer hour and ounce of effort has been worth it.<br><br>So much has gone into this thanks to so many others joining the cause and believing in the vision of a of generation empowered children, and it is just the beginning. I envision so much more to come and will continue dedicating all I can to see this through.<br><br>This is the greatest blessing I could have asked for.

I stayed a MSH for nine monthes. During that time I learned more about myself then I had in the 24 years of life. I was able to discover behavior patterns that were not healthy and create new and lasting actions that really spoke of who I was inside. Alot of healing took place and my children were loved and really enjoyed being there. They want to go back and visit all the time. Thanks for all you people who support this program. I don't know where we'd be without it.
