This group is outstanding in assisting first responders. Members are always willing to stop in just to see and cheer us up and provide support. Additionally, they come up to assist us with our open houses and other community events, which the kids love. The staff of Edwardsville PD appreciate their support.

Terri and I have known the leadership team for 25+ years. It has been our privilege to donate to the work of HEED since its inception in 2005. We have seen how they started small with a vision caring for just a few of the neediest children in a remote village to now providing schooling for up to 1000 students. They also provide health services, access to water and career training for individuals and families. I am so proud of the team. It has been amazing to see the growth of the leadership team in Uganda and how much they have accomplished. Highly Highly recommend HEED Uganda!

When I first entered the Wade James Theatre, home of the Edmonds Driftwood Players, my expectations were low. Coming from the DC area, which is also a quick train ride from NY city, I had been to many live theaters. Some were small community type theaters, and some were as big as the Met. <br>Anyway, I was not prepared for the professional cast of "unpaid actors" and the comfort of the 223 seat theater. <br>We kept coming back, became season ticket holders, and then volunteered to help the organization sustain live theater for future generations. <br>I was amazed to find out that the theater group had been around since 1958, and the theatre had been built in 1968-1969. At the beginning, this was the only such arts organization in Edmonds. <br>So, as we say at the theater .... "Come Play with Us! and Feed your Soul".

I have MS. I can walk, I can stand, I just can't do either one for very long. I have 5 children and we live on 5 acres. This last summer I was almost home bound in our small trailer. I would watch my kids through the window playing with the animals or exploring the trees, but I couldn't go with them, it was just too far to walk. I knew how wonderful it would be to have an all terrain scooter, but there's no money for that we can barely pay our bills. I didn't think there was any help for something like that and honestly I felt selfish to even ask. I mean I can walk so how could I ask for a scooter just so I could get outside around our place and make memories with my kids. Finally in August after my 7 year old had come in to ask again "mommy can't you come outside with us, I'll help you if you fall down", I called MS helping hands. By that day was over I got a call that they had an all terrain scooter that was for me. I said I have no money to give. They said there was no charge...Now I'm going on regular "walks" with my kids, my goats and dogs are so happy to see me again, my depression that I fought so hard to hide is gone, and when my 7 year old asks me to come outside and see what he has discovered I say "lets go!" I thank God for MS Helping Hands!

Poorly run an expensive program. The level of Spanish being taught is not enough. The owner is very ambiguous when you ask her about the achievement level of students that go through her program. She's definitely more of a business woman than an education professional. I didn't feel confident enough in the teachers in this program.

This organization provides free custom portraits of Fallen Heroes in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan to their families based on a request from the family. The portraits are drawn by internationally acclaimed portrait artist Michael Reagan. Michael himself is a combat veteran from Vietnam who went on to become a very successful artist. The organization takes care of all the costs and even provides a coupon for free framing from AC Moore. My understanding is that there are no paid members of the organization. <br> <br>I received a portrait of my son, Marine Lance Corporal Eric W. Herzberg from Michael. It was absolutely beautiful and seemed to have captured some of Eric's soul. There was something spiritual about the experience as I feel that my son had a message for me through his portrait. I know I'm not crazy because I understand many family's have also experienced the same thing. <br> <br>Michael has drawn over 3,400 portraits now - all free of charge. He has drawn portraits for Fallen hero families in the UK and Canada as well. The organization has recently also provided this same gift to families impacted by recent tragedies here at home like the Newtown, CT shootings, the Arizona hotshot firefighters and the shootings at the Washington Navy Yard. <br> <br>This is a top notch foundation, providing an amazing and unique service to families who are suffering. I know that receiving the portrait of Eric helped me tremendously in handling my grief in a positive way and Eric's portrait is my most prized possession. The folks at Precious Life Animal Sanctuary treat their animals so wonderfully. I've been out to the sanctuary and can see the affection that they have for their animals and also the trust and relationship the animals have with their human companions. Thank you for giving these beautiful animals a second chance. Keep up the good work!

We worked alongside our Filipino brothers and sisters to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to remote areas of the eastern part of the province of Samar. Our focus was also to plant churches and Bible studies so that every person has the opportunity to attend one near them. Local leaders were inspired to work together to accomplish their goals. In 10 days of meetings with free concerts, drama, testimony, teaching, preaching, and prayer ministry, 80% of the crowds of 5,896 responded.
