This establishment is AWFUL! Do NOT do business with Tara farms. For my sons first birthday I wanted to do a farm theme, so of course I wanted animals and pony rides. I contacted Bonnie Jean (the owner ) 3 and a half months before my party. I spoke to her about wanting farm animals and a pony for kids to ride . Bonnie Jean said no problem , we can do that! She told me that I would need to put a deposit of $200.00 down to hold that date for me. A few days later I went to Tara farms and brought her the deposit. Everything was set in stone! A week before my sons birthday party, I called Bonnie just to check in and confirm that we were all set for my sons party. That’s when she said “ oh I’ve been meaning to call you, I actually can’t do the party “ . I am in complete shock , this is a week before my party and she’s now telling me she isn’t coming with the animals. I ask her why and question why she didn’t let me know sooner . She said that she couldn’t do the party because of “insurance issues “. Mind you, I had called her , she never contacted me to let me know that she was no longer coming!!! How does a business owner not know that she doesn’t have insurance to have the animals leave the premise??? Also Bonnie Jean didn’t even apologize. She was very rude and could care a less that she ruined my sons big day. I had spent months preparing for this party and the whole theme of the party was farm related. Now it’s a week before my party and now i have to try and figure out what to do! I then call Bonnie Jean back and tell her I need my $200.00 deposit back that I had given to her 3+ months prior. She didn’t answer her phone so I left a voicemail. I wait a day, and then I call her again. I leave another voice mail. Call again , later that evening. No answer and I leave ANOTHER voicemail. After 3 days of that I decide to drive over to her establishment. I see Bonnie Jean in her house, she looks out the window and sees me and quickly disappears from the window . I see one of the workers . I tell him I would like to speak with bonnie . He looks around and says “uhh I don’t think she’s here right now”. I explain why I am there and he says he’ll try and call her . He does , and i can hear her cellphone ringing , so obviously she was there. He told me he would have her call me when she “got back”. He took my number and name down into his cellphone. I never have received a call back from Bonnie Jean. I never got my $200.00 deposit back. She is a thief, and also completely ruined my sons big day. Also , she still has all of these services on her website. She is booking party’s , and then cancels last minute and keeps your deposit. This place is awful and the establishment looks like a complete dump!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHIESTY WOMEN!!!!!

I know this program works because my daughter came home from her high school and told me that the boys were crying after they saw the sad presentation from two mothers who had lost their sons in separate car crashes. I think if the kids were touched that much, then they will think twice before driving recklessly.

Ryan's Memorial Fund was established in loving memory of Ryan, who was killed when the car he was riding in as a passenger crashed in Hebron, CT. Ryan's Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed by Ryan's family whose mission is to raise and allocate funds and other resources to meet the public interest, health, safety, education and human service needs of the community. Its projects have included providing first responders/fire departments with pet respirator kits and training to save family pets in emergency situations, partnering annually with a tree farm to provide free Christmas trees to needy families, providing free beach passes to families in Ryan's home town, raising awareness regarding safe teen driving, renovating a courtyard at CHS, donating to safe graduation initiatives, food banks, fuel banks, and providing the kick-off donation for a town defibrillator.
