I had the honor and pleasure of traveling with a student group from the University of Maryland to DR to work with Project Las Americas. We enjoyed learning about the multidimensional projects that PLA has invested in, from water filtration for better health to women's empowerment and reading programs for a better educated community. Thank you for allowing us to join us in your great work! It was clear that your PLA leaders are passionate about serving their communities and ensuring a brighter future for all.

I am a volunteer for Breakdown and Breakdown has changed my life. I joined the year as a new believer, wanting a Christian friend group and man did I find that and more. I now know Christ as my everything. The Lord is used breakdown as a vessel to completely change my life. Breakdown is making a change in schools and community's across St. Louis. I have only been on the team for little over a year and I have seen so man people saved and I have seen people taking steps to get help. Breakdown is one of the few organizations that are more than just willing to talk about the mental help crises but to help those who are struggling. Also, the goal of our presentations isn't to completely fix the problem instantly because we know that healing comes in steps, but to be the first step of many on the path of healing. Breakdown has impacted the lives of thousands and I am so glad to be apart of it!

My interaction has been with one of the key volunteers who has educated us on the mission of Arise. It has been so inspirational that we have started a movement in our community to help veteran service folks meet their daily needs. Arise Veteran Foundation is evangelizing folks to be more involved in supporting those who so willingly served us.

Chess Cardinals mission is to promote chess and build a strong and vibrant chess community by providing an easily accessible platform for all chess enthusiasts, adults, and scholastic players alike, to come together, play competitive chess, and share their love for the game. Since November 2021, the organization has been conducting weekly tournaments for chess players of all levels, from novice to master. Their entry fees have been as low as $2-$5 per tournament, making it one of the most affordable chess clubs in the state of Missouri. A great destination for learning chess (affordable introductory chess classes and summer/winter camps sprinkled with weekly free chess lectures) and amazing tournaments run by wonderful volunteers of this club. It welcomes everyone. Love this place!! <br> <br>Chess provides invaluable cognitive benefits, improves memory & focus, and enhances creativity. Chess brings diverse groups of people together and unites a community. However, there are hurdles that stand in the way. From the cost of chess equipment, expensive training programs, limited availability of long-time control tournaments on a frequent interval, and gender imbalances. Chess Cardinals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to addressing these issues with the following goals: <br> <br>Build a strong chess community by organizing low-cost tournaments and training for the general public. <br>Develop affordable afterschool & summer chess programs to promote scholastic chess. <br>Create a chess excellence program to increase female players participation.

I was in a car accident 5 days ago and now I am un able to pay my rent due to not be able to go work until the doctors says it’s okay I am 1100$ behind and I really need help I stay in Spanish lake I’m 27 years olds with a 10 year old please if you can help I would really graciously appreciate it. I became aware of this organization after my child's (public) elementary school solicited donations for old shoes with the explanation that they are being given to this charity and then that "These shoes are shipped overseas and sold for pennies to people in need. The money is then used to build wells and help people in Africa and Hati have clean water." The logic of this (shipping shoes worth pennies overseas - where the cost of the shipping would exceed the cost of the shoes) sounded bizarre, so I looked up the Form 990's they filed with the IRS. From there I saw that the biggest piece of their revenue goes to pay their own salaries and to fly themselves around - only about a third goes to actually help people (that don't work for their 'charity').

My personal experience is good with the charity, working in USA and out side. Helps Maternity program for Fistula repair
