A few months ago I was invited to attend one of the "Beyond the Classroom" performances at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. This unique daytime school series not only entertains our children but teaches important life lessons as well. I wish everyone could have seen the joy on those kids faces! The topics are varied: history, literature, music and drama, and their interpretations are discussed after each performance to further enrich the experience. There were so many hands being raised the actors could hardly contain all the excitement in the room. If everyone could experience an event like this they would know how vital the Wilson Center is to the Wisconsin arts landscape. Our children deserve education in the arts and unfortunately not all have the means to do so. It's programs such as these that will help ensure a better future for each one of them who is lucky enough to be touched by the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.

Being a part of our church's outreach program, church leadership asked my wife and I to pray about and investigate local organizations that helped women trapped in human trafficking. After vetting the few local organizations, we felt it was a choice between two. After praying, we asked Krista Hull, of Redeem and Restore to meet with us. Immediately we were impressed with her dedication to those who had found themselves in the trafficking industry, but also in how she and her team were dedicated to engage those who needed their help to redeem and restore them physically, emotionally & spiritually. The spiritual aspect was very important to us, for only God can truly, wholly restore. The passion to get involved and reach out to anyone who could be in need was heart felt. After praying, my wife and I felt God leading us to attended training sessions that allowed us to find our fit and value in the organization. Krista understands that not everyone has the abilities or capacity to be front line volunteers. She lets you know there are a number of ways you can help, and all ways are valuable to the organization! She promotes you finding your fit. <br>After presenting Redeem & Restore Center to our church leadership, it was a unanimous decision to include Redeem & Restore Center in Metro Harvest Church monthly support organizations. Our Pastor's wife was working with the Menomonee Falls community to hold a festival to help promote & celebrate the local community. In doing so, she planted the idea of having a Lavender Tea Lemonade stand to support R&R, with all proceeds going to the organization. With the church fully engaged, we were staffed with church volunteers and Krista. The turn out was amazing, and the attendees were very generous and engaged.<br>Personally, it has been a huge blessing to my wife and myself to be associated with, donate, and volunteer for Krista at Redeem & Restore Center organization. It is our personal commitment to continue to support R&R to reach its goal of securing a home to house those escaping human trafficking while they can be loved and cared for during the redeem and restore phase of their lives.<br>In His grace.<br>Denny & Shirley Digman

In 2019, I began experiencing symptoms of Parkinson's disease, which was diagnosed in 2021. Among my severe symptoms were tremors, difficulty walking, weakness throughout my body, and stiffness and rigidity. My meds only provided temporary relief, so I decided to try other approaches and started the PD-5 treatment program from uine health centre . With the help of this therapy regimen, I have seen significant improvements in my walking, balance, tremors, and appetite, and I have resumed my guitar playing again and sign my name as I had before Parkinson's. Impact100 Greater Milwaukee is a wonderful organization that is making a difference in our community. The collective giving model allows for real transformational change at some amazing nonprofits. I am so impressed by the grant review process and the events hosted by Impact are fun, relevant and informative.

WASA has been instrumental in getting my son active and involved in sports. A great welcoming community of parents, coaches and volunteers!

Pride Of The Midwest Girls Fast Pitch Softball Club has been great for my daughter. The coaching she has received from the Pride staff has really improved her skills in all aspects of the game. Most importantly she has had the opportunity to learn what it's like to be apart of a team, how to be a great teammate. As a family we really have enjoyed the entire experience.

My fiancée and I have had a disturbing experience involving a social worker named Chrissy Parlow from Community Care, Inc. After Chrissy inserted herself into a private family situation — uninvited and without consent — we attempted to address the issue professionally. What followed was anything but.<br><br>Instead of resolving things through dialogue or proper channels, Chrissy and her fiancé began sending my fiancée a series of vulgar, threatening messages. These were not isolated incidents — the language was aggressive, profane, and completely unacceptable from anyone, let alone someone affiliated with a caregiving organization.<br><br>When we reached out to the organization directly, including her supervisor, we received no response. No acknowledgment, no accountability — just silence.<br><br>It’s alarming that someone representing a nonprofit that works with vulnerable people would act in such a way, and even more troubling that the organization itself seems unwilling to intervene or take responsibility.<br><br>I’m writing this not out of spite, but out of genuine concern for others who may be in vulnerable situations. If this is considered acceptable behavior at Community Care, Inc., then that speaks volumes. We expected care and professionalism — what we got was hostility and harassment.

My daughter attended Amy Montessori and experienced racism from her preschool teacher. The kids were mean and made faces at my daughter. The teacher saw them and did nothing to stop them. At Christmas time, the children painted an ornament which represented the child. Only black or white paints were offered. When my daughter, who is Asian, said "I can't find my skin color", the teacher said "pick one". When my daughter picked the white paint, the teacher laughed at her and picked the black paint while saying "this is your skin color". The teacher also yelled unnecessarily at my daughter. Children were dismissed for recess depending on their behavior. My daughter, who was quiet and well behaved, was always dismissed last. If I had known at the time that this was happening, I would have pulled my daughter out. I have donated generously in the past to my other children's private schools, but I will not be donating to Amy Montessori.

Where do I begin. Have been active fund raising committee, plus have adopted . The organization is a well run group. Good exposure to the community with classes, care and training. The facility has grown into larger quarters with the abilities to shelter more animals in need. Staff are professional and concerned about the animals that are in their care. I feel we the community one of the best shelters.
