My name is Mia Rojas and I entered the Choir at age 9 and was there all through High School until I graduated in 2007. The choir helped me learn about singing and performing but also about reaching out to people in need. When I was in the choir, we participated in many events including traveling to different countries, as well as some places in the United States, to sing for orphanages and nursing homes and to expand the knowledge of love and peace throughout the world. I am currently a Student at George Mason University pursuing a career in singing; Opera to be exact. Over the years of being with the choir, I saw that many people do need music and singing to help they recover, relax, etc. I wanted to further pursue the art that had brought so much help to many and help many myself with singing. Singing kept me out of trouble when I was little and I know that it is a great activity for children to do as i had experienced it myself. I loved, and still do love, the choir and what it stands for. The choir itself promotes peace and love for all, regardless of culture, age, gender, class, etc. We all believe, somewhere in our hearts, that there should be no war, hate or violence; there should be love, peace, caring, and singing! No matter what people say, singing brings joy to everyone no matter who you are and The World Children's choir bring love, peace, caring and singing to the hearts and souls of many all over the world.

This is our daughter's fifth year as a member of the youth chorus of the Fairfax Choral Society. During those 5 years she has experienced an organization that fosters musicianship, discipline, professionalism, and perfection and the result being, beautiful music. The organization enriches the lives of these young people by developing a broader knowledge of Fine Arts. We are very thankful that our daughter has been a member of this fine organization.

The Save Lucy campaign is doing a terrific job of educating the public & raising awareness of the the devastation that WNS is causing to American bat populations. Project Noah is proud to be a partner of this great organization.

I have heard Mr. Jay Sekulow speak about his Christian values, and I will give him my support because he's defending the bible against atheists. <br><br>I am motivated by Esther 4:14 that we need to speak up for what's right, for who knows if we were born for a time such as this: <br>“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”<br><br>Regardless of the anti-ACLJ critics say, I have not been harassed or even received a single phone call as a donor.

I have shared with my faculty several of the the strategies and practices outlined in the videos and PDF outlines provided on Best Practices Weekly. The feedback regarding the videos and supporting documentation are positive and they are typically characterized as practitioner-friendly. This service provides a way for educators to access research-proven strategies without spending lots of time sifting through research journals and reading vast amounts of articles. This is an important service given that time is a precious commodity within the education sector.

Wei Hwa Chinese School is the best Chinese language school in the northern Virginia and Greater DC area. Both my kids go there on Sunday for classes. This school is well attended by the local community, both ethnic chinese and non-ethnic community members (who are interested in learning chinese for travel or works or attend one of the many culture activities, such as Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Dragon Boat Race, cooking class, etc).

Our application fee was accepted, we were rejected for not having provided enough detail on their web application that crashed four times while trying to submit. Other than a rejection email there was no communication or reply to my emailed question. No other dogs were suggested for us to meet or adopt making me wonder if this organization is legit. <br>Rebecca N

There is a 10th-grade student at PHILLIPS who has been attending the program for the past three years. Since attending the program this student has been in and out of multiple foster home placements. Recently this student was reunified with his family. This has been a difficult transition for this student. This student has had medication administration issues since returning home. This student has had an increase in unsafe behaviors since his reunification, including walking into traffic, verbal threats, and physical aggression. Throughout the reunification process, this student continues to come to school and seek out preferred, staff. At times he is not able to verbalize the attention he needs and sometimes tries to get it in negative ways. This student's staff, however, remain consistent with their caring attitude towards him and it has made all the difference. The staff has gone above and beyond to get this student his medication and create alternative learning environments when he is too unregulated to be in class. PHILLIPS is truly the safest and most consistent environment which this student has and we will continue to support him through this transition point in his life. PHILLIPS provides the stability which this student needs at this time.

My wife and I have had to make two 911 calls for child-related emergencies, one for each of our young sons. The AVFD showed up within minutes for each. Words cannot express our gratitude for their courage and professionalism. There are times I have made donations to organizations and wondered where the money goes.
