This facility is operating under fraudulent and false terms, they are NOT licensed for any mental health care and give very little support to occupants who live there in need of help for their addictions. The manager Art Walker in abrasive and treats the residents like dirt while swearing at them and threatens them he will throw them out. Walker has allowed numerous occupants to remain in the house knowing that they are using and selling drugs and he turns a blind eye. When residents complain for their safety and sobriety Mr. Walkers threatens to throw them out. While family members and residents have request to speak with the owner of the Robinson House , it appears the corporations hides all information regarding corporate headquarters, corporate leaders and a board of directors should they have one. This perpetration is a disgrace and a travesty to those in need of help and serious about their recovery. The house is in dire need of repairs and some residents are forced to sleep in bedrooms without windows or exists should a house fire occur. The Alexandria Police department is familiar with several of the occupants who were allowed to remain while selling drugs and warrants have been put out for several residents arrest. The average stay per occupant seems to be no longer then 90 days before they move out to a safer environment. The house takes in over 9,800 a month in rents and provides little to no support for recovery needs and no licensed counselors visit or occupy the home. There is little to NO supervision.

Presently, I am an intern at CFNC and I am amazed with the level of dedication, commitment and service they are providing to at risk children and their families. As an aspiring social work professional, CFNC is contributing immensely in shaping my future through the experience and practical education they are giving me. My desire to become a social worker is rekindled by these group of selfless individuals who are changing lives daily.

The staff are providing a lot of information to the parents about government programs that they can benefit from, but some of the parents don’t know about the availability of such programs. There are many programs out there for helping people who are less privilege and CFNC staff are providing those kinds of information to deserving people.

On “why we do” section in its website, CFNC states that, “We are steadfast in our belief that the pathway out of poverty begins with early intervention, in 30 years we have learned that early childhood education programs have a greater impact on the education trajectory of children living in poverty when they include services that foster self-sufficient families”. I can vehemently vouch that CFNC is truly following every word in this statement and in all its mission and vision.
I would add that the staff are willing to answer all my questions even when they are ridiculous. They are so helpful.
