Review for Coalition To Salute Americas Heroes, Williamsburg, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My neighbor is a wounded soldier from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Injured in 2006, but was in the hospital for who knows how long, seemed like years. Times were clearly tough for him and his family and he wouldn’t open up much about it. In retrospect I’m certain they were having financial troubles. Well him and his wife and the kids came back from the Coalition’s conference one year ago with a refreshed attitude. Well at least the soldier did because his wife is always so positive, kids too. I don’t know in exactly how many ways they were helped, his spouse mainly mentioned disability benefits and percentage disability being adjusted to a higher percentage. He lost his right leg below the shin and a few other injuries and went thru over 20 surgeries. I don’t know how you get disability adjusted to correct levels, but somehow the Coalition got this done for them when they had being trying to handle it for over 3 or 4 years and its helped this young couple and their family tremendously. So what do you think I did the very day his spouse told me about the conference? I donated to this group because I saw firsthand what a real impact their work can have on deserving people like this. I figured it was the least I could do to help individuals (such as my neighbor) who have done so much for America.
