Review for Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Inc, Atlanta, GA, USA
PBPATL is probably one of the most valuable resources in Atlanta for a non-profit like Friends of Refugees. Complex legal questions are du jour in the nonprofit world, often without significant legal precedents available and ALWAYS with a dearth of funding to get the help necessary to serve families and communities with excellence. PBPATL has helped FOR find the answers to our questions, the legal volunteers to do what we do right, and to see far down the road of our organization's future by sitting on the shoulders of their top-notch legal partners. Our future is brighter because of PBPATL!

Review for Friends of Refugees Inc, Clarkston, GA, USA
I work in a refugee resettlement office where I work to place new refugees in their first job in the USA. Friends of Refugees runs an internet cafe where they help make resumes for clients I refer to them. I have never seen an organization with such reliable and consistent volunteer infrastructure. When they say a project will get done, it gets done almost invariably and actually WHEN they say it will get done. That kind of consistency is so hard to find in non-profits. Additionally I work with them on the community garden they operate and it has been such an amazing miracle to see the steady flow of volunteers they attract that help the refugee gardeners have what the need and a safe and peaceful environment in which to get in touch with the very work of creation.
