PBPA's work is so essential for being a healthy nonprofit organization. All of their information is timely and helpful. When it came to our specific organization they found a great law office with great staff to meet our needs. Everyone we have ever interacted with has been both professional and approachable. I highly recommend Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Pro Bono Partners of Atlanta, is great to work with. The team is awesome to work with and very knowledgeable about non profits.
AboutFace-USA can not say enough about the individuals and professionalism of all those involved with this Foundation. Robyn keep us of track and informed by one-on-one communication, Seminars, and email.
Pro Bono was instrumental in obtain the AboutFace-USA trade mark and providing legal advice whenever necessary.
I highly recommend this Foundation!
I met Robyn Miller over ten years ago. She patiently listened to our story and goals and wrote down a compilation of projects to help us develop a solid legal foundation. Over the years, ProBonoPartnership has prepared policy statements, manuals and numerous other legal documents that would have cost our small non-profit agency thousands of dollars. We are in our 16th year and owe so much to the free legal assistance we have received from this awesome organization. Dr. Jimmy Wilson. Four Winds Ministry Village. Loganville, Ga.
I first met Attorney Robyn Miller over ten years ago. She was willing to offer her services to help get our non-profit Community Service Agency off the ground and on sound, legal footing. Robyn worked with us to prepare our employee manuals, and numerous other legal documents. Over the past ten years, she and the wonderful staff and attorneys who volunteer through Pro Bono Partnership have provided many thousands of dollars of free legal work to keep our organization focused on our mission of Rebuilding Broken Families and Restoring Broken Lives. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
I highly recommend Pro Bono Partnership as an organization deserving of your financial support.
The Exceptional Foundation is a young, small nonprofit with legal needs we did not have the budget to address. At our Legal Check-up with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Inc. we discovered more issues we didn't even realize we needed to navigate. PBPA is addressing every single issue we have. The staff and volunteers communicate so well, have delivered on every item in a timely manner, and have had endless patience with our naivete and questions. As Executive Director, I am so much more confident in the security of our organization. The process has prompted us to make changes in some of our policies and procedures and provided us with documentation that limits our liabiity in various areas. I am grateful for the services provided by Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Inc. and the time and talents donated by the volunteer attorneys.
We’ve been working with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta for less than a year, and in this short amount of time, they have already proven to be an invaluable partner. We’re a community building organization with a wide range of programs, including a community museum, arts programming, and direct support services, that each present their own unique challenges to address. As a small team, we have relied upon Pro Bono Partners to provide the expertise to navigate each new challenge. They’ve helped us with media release forms; artist agreements; tax questions related to retail products; real estate and lease agreements; and even resolving a dumpster citation! The team is responsive and very supportive. It’s been such a blessing to work with them. Highly suggest connecting with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta and exploring how they can help you!
Pro Bono Partnership's service is truly invaluable. Even small nonprofits (with small budgets) need legal counsel. We have received the best professional legal counsel I could imagine, from qualified, experienced lawyers. The PBP staff is brilliant at coordinating the process with respect and professionalism. We are so grateful.
PBPA's expertise and leadership has resulted in Special Pops Tennis being more sustainable with their engagement in compliance with best practices. While we believed we were compliant in our business practices, with the involvement of PBPA's staff and their project leaders (volunteer attorneys), we now better understand what it takes to be compliant. Without PBPA, our non-profit would have been unable to afford and achieve the fabulous results delivered by through the many projects we completed. Thank you seems to be too simple of an expression. Our sincere appreciation is best expressed by the smiles on the faces of those served by our organization.
We're a non-profit in the RJ space, operating for more than 30 years and Pro Bono is one of our most valued relationships. They've been extremely reliable and they consistently deliver in the most professional and proficient ways. We're very fortunate to have their support.
Probono has been an amazing resource for our nonprofit. The staff and attorneys have prepared so many important documents we need to have in place to include media release, photographer agreement, and background check policy. They also helped us revise our bylaws.
The attorneys are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. This is such a invaluable resource for us. Thank you to the entire Probono Partnership of Atlanta staff!
We are extremely grateful for the support we received from Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, Inc. We were matched with lawyers to review our organizations tutoring documents to ensure that we were operating our program appropriately. Words can not express how appreciative we were for this support! As a small non profit it would be difficult to pay for such services.
They are always prompt, professional and friendly. Pro Bono is a great group to have on a nonprofit's team!
PBPA has assisted our organization, Destiny’s Daughters of Promise (DDP) is so many ways. We have benefitted from the numerous workshops and webinars PBPA has offered over the years and from the legal services provided through the pro bono partners. DDP is thankful to the staff and the Pro Bono attorneys throughout Metro Atlanta for the legal advice and the help provided when we needed to prepare our bylaws, board handbook and much more.
Thanks to PBPA, we have received valuable information about hiring practices of new employees, tax laws and finance and accounting for non-profits. PBPA provided us with legal check-ups and matched us with wonderful attorneys to walk us through the process of creating the needed documents. Thank you PBPA!
Working with Pro Bono Partnerships of Atlanta has been a huge gift for Montessori Partnerships for Georgia. Thanks to their amazing team of experts, we have been able to professionalize our independent contractor agreements, file for a trademark, hire a new staff member, and do myriad other behind-the-scenes tasks that make it possible for us to achieve our mission-- to expand access to quality child-centered education through a network of public and community-based Montessori schools.
Working with PBPA has been such a gift. After struggling along for several years with very little legal advice, suddenly we have specialists available to us to offer legal support on anything we need, from trademarking to writing contracts to creating sub-grant agreements. Wow! This organization is providing a really important service. As a small and new nonprofit with a limited budget, we benefit tremendously from PBPA's free legal support. It's amazing to think of all the other organizations they are helping too, and all the good that this organization enables. Thank you, PBPA!
PBPA has worked on many projects with Pebble Tossers. Some small like a volunteer waiver, but also big ones where needed to bring in the big guns and have everything thoroughly reviewed like a software platform subscription agreement. Pebble Tossers is very appreciative to the staff and all the ProBono attorneys throughout greater Atlanta! We couldn’t meet out missions without their help.
My organization, H.O.P.E, Inc. (Helping Other People be Empowered) has been a client I believe since 2012/2013. Our partnership with Probono Legal has been a lifesaver. As a small grassroots organization Founder, I wanted to make sure that we were doing everything right legally and setting our organization up for success in every aspect possible. The free legal advice often affirmed our validity and allowed our nonprofit to operate on a larger scale compliance-wise. I would certainly recommend that any nonprofit serving in the Atlanta area get more information about becoming a client. The legal team and volunteers used are top-notch, and Rachel is thorough and compassionate about what she does.
Refuge Coffee Co. has relied on Pro Bono Partners of Atlanta since our inception in 2015. They have walked us through some tough and thorny issues while helping us stay informed, maintain our integrity, and grow our mission. We cannot recommend PBPA highly enough!
As a small non-profit, YELLS (Youth Empowerment through Learning, Leading, and Serving, Inc.) is so fortunate to have Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta as a resource and partner. Over the years, they've helped us with legal check-ups to review our organization's policies, quick answers about legal questions, and connections to volunteer attorneys for more individualized support. It's been such an asset to be able to reach out to the amazing team at PBPA and receive the expert advice we need. They are always willing to help for questions, big or small. Thanks for all you do to help us continue focusing on the work of serving our community!
As a relatively new partner of the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, we are receiving critical legal support to strengthen our operations and program services. In support of our international work and constituencies, PBPA provides our team with legal consultations that inform our strategies and protect our most vulnerable constituents.
On behalf of Delta Life Development Center, Inc., we would like to extend a humble thank you for your time and effort in assisting us in the creation of the Delta LDC Volunteer Handbook, our policies and procedures, editing our bylaws, etc.
Delta LDC is working hard to present a professional and caring organization to the community. Our plans are to grow our organization and make it a well-known and respected name in the community. We have worked hard over the past twenty years to establish ourselves as a pillar of responsibility. We have worked hard to serve the South Dekalb community through educational forums, fiscal responsibility classes, home ownership workshops, and being a voice for those who feel they have no voice.
Our community will now see that we have grown to be a responsible, caring and organized community minded organization that they will feel proud and safe to be a part of.
Again, thank you, Pro Bono, for your help in this endeavor. If we can be of assistance to you, please give us a call or send an email to Info@ldc.org.
Shelia G. Garner, President
Delta Life Development Center, Inc.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta provided us with a legal assessment to insure Team Maggie's Dream has all their legal paperwork in order. The knowledge they have shared with Team Maggie's Dream has provided the base we need to take our organization to the next level.
We are so grateful to Pro Bono Partners of Atlanta. One of the Pro Bono attorneys Gregory Scott Edwards has been exceptional coming back when he can to help us with several of our projects.
Pro Bono Partners stays the course and provides educational tools to help everyone which was so helpful this year through PPP loans. Thank you Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta!! We could not do this without you.
Team Maggie For A Cure is grateful to Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta for putting all the paperwork in place from the beginning for our non profit. All of the attorneys we have spoken with have been very knowledgeable, experts in their field and dedicated to helping others. Pro Bono Partnership has given us a great foundation to start on from bylaws and conflict of interest to waivers and an understanding of the medical privacy laws that effect us. Thank you for getting us started on the right path Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
ProBono Partnership has been a tremendous resource for my organization, Focused Community Strategies. Their team and volunteer attorneys have taken on numerous projects for us over the past 10 years. From HR issues to contract reviews to property tax issues, they have been able to find a volunteer for all of our needs. We are so grateful for PBPA commitment to the non-profit community of Atlanta and those we serve.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has helped FCS Urban Ministries and our partner organizations in a myriad of ways over the years. From the quick legal questions to more in depth legal issues, PBA's staff has been outstanding in helping our organization grow and navigate uncharted waters. PBA is a tremendous gift to our city!
Pro Bono has assisted our organization greatly. Through their services, our bylaws were improved and made more productive. Our board received training on how a non-profit may legally and effective lobby or work with our elected officials. As well, we were able to trademark the logo for our long-term signature educational program for teenage girls. We look forward to a continued relationship with Pro Bono and sincerely appreciate the assistance received.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has provided our Habitat for Humanity nonprofit affiliate with outstanding legal services in support of our mission. We have numerous policies that need legal review before our board of directors can approve them and PBPA has been incredible. We especially appreciated the legal policy review provided by PBPA surrounding our Covid-19 back-to-work policies. Critical support during a stressful time.
Through their expertise, they were able to identify an issue that we had. They anticipated the need in advance and then when the time came, we were covered and protected. I can't thank them enough for their willingness to help their clients navigate all of the complex legal issues that face non-profits on a daily basis.
I have recently joined the Board of PBPA but I have been volunteering with PBPA for years. As a busy in-house transactional attorney, PBPA provides an excellent way for me to give back to my community with pro bono legal services to non-profits, and PBPA does an amazing job managing and supporting the experience. The staff is efficient, professional and hard working. Our work enables non-profits to focus on their missions, and not actual or potential legal issues.
Pro Bono has done so much for our urban garden non-profit that I don't know where to begin. In our first meeting, we met with 3 lawyers who helped us identify what we needed to change, file, or create to comply with regulations that would allow us to seek government-funded grants, and insure that we protect the integrity of the organization . For example, we never knew that we had to meet certain criteria just to qualify as a "public charity". Over the last year, we have received the kind of follow-up help that we never could have done ourselves.
- One of the most important issues was helping us review employee contracts and separate them into "contractor" and "staff", with clear role delineations and payment menthods for each.
- Revising our Articles of Incorporation, drafting policies and procedures
- Drafting release forms for our clients and volunteers.
- Provinding information about insurance coverage.
. . . and so much more! ProBono has been a lifesaver for us.
It's hard to imagine where Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage & Disability would be today without the invaluable services of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. As a growing nonprofit we have become a stronger organization with the assistance of PBPA. From the Legal Check-up which identified areas where our agency needed to shore up policies and procedures to the handling of various legal matters, we have had incredible legal expertise at our disposal. PBPA and its cadre of volunteer lawyers help nonprofits do their good works by mitigating risks and increasing effectiveness. We are so grateful to have them on our team and thankful to have them in our community!
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta (PBPA) has been an essential partner for Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage and Disability (ISDD). PBPA was there to help us grow from our founding to governance stage as we built up our board of directors and strengthened our operations. With their help we were able to put strong policies and procedures in place to ensure transparency. This has been a critical in our ability to attract new funders and increase our services to improve health outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
ISDD may be a small organization, but thanks to PBPA, we have a legal team at our disposal that is on par with any of our larger organizational peers. The fact of the matter is, I don't know where we would be today without PBPA. I am grateful to every donor and volunteer who supports them and makes it possible for them to strengthen organizations like ISDD so that we may do good in the community.
Four retired Spelman graduates decided to try to make a difference in their community. They decided to found a non-profit to help students in South Fulton. E.D.3 Cubed, Inc. was the idea of Earnestine Pittman along with three of her Spelman sisters, Ernestine Hogan, Delories Horton, and Sarah Finley. Our organization was accepted by PROBONO ATLANTA to help us receive our tax free status. Several lawyers helped us complete the application and pay the fees. We have had a successful 11 years. We have followed three graduating classes from Tri Cities High School in East Point , Georgia since 2008.
E. D. Cubed, Inc. is a 501 (3) c organization. Thanks to the leadership of Pro Bono in supporting our efforts to gain our non-profit status so that we could realize our dream mentoring and providing financial assistance to financially at-risk high school girls who are academically inclined. Pro Bono forwarded our application to their many contacts and we were blessed to have two major law firms walk us through the process and one of the law firms paid our certification fee. Thank you, Pro Bono for your continued assistance in providing us with valuable information and insight on keeping our non-profit status and improving our organization.
We were recommended to the Pro Bono Partnership by an affiliate organization who raved about their services. We also attended a workshop held by Robyn Miller that was extremely directional and informative. We have completed one project which the assigned attorney resolved for us in one day. We are currently working on three other projects. Pro Bono and its associated attorneys provide a wealth of knowledge, presented in a professional and organized approach to guiding you through legal issues creating direction and supportive solutions.
Pro Bono Partnership has helped us create policies and processes that will allow our organization to grow. Whenever our work takes us into legal matters and we want to make sure we're taking the best approach, PBP is there to answer questions. Working with PBP helps us get ahead of challenges so that we can focus on our mission and our clients.
Helping Mamas, Inc has worked with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Inc for the last 2 years. They have helped us work on projects from reviewing leases, creating an employee manual, and working on trademarks. Their services have been so valuable. I feel confident that our organization is up to date on current laws and policies. Because of their help, our agency has saved thousands of dollars in legal fees and been able to put that money back toward our mission of eliminating diaper need in Atlanta. I truly feel our growth and success wouldn't have been possible without the legal services we receive from Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Project Community Connections, Inc. (www.pccihome.org) has worked with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta for several years and our organization is stronger and more viable as a result. We've worked together on numerous projects from real estate matters, property tax exemption issue, corporate governance, legal review of employee policies and procedures, client confidentiality matters and so many more. The staff are consummate professionals, dedicated to the mission of nonprofit work and extremely effective and efficient in their delivery of services.
I have worked directly with the staff and volunteer attorneys of the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta while at two different nonprofits. Small nonprofit teams rarely have the resources to hire legal counsel full-time, so having Pro Bono Partnership on your side provides peace of mind as you know you always have access to expert legal advice and best practices. We couldn't deliver on our mission as effectively without them!
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta is integral to providing legal services to the charitable community in Georgia. I began volunteering 10 years ago. Professional while humble, this organization has been leading the Atlanta Bar's efforts to transform the delivery of services to those organizations trying to change the world for the better.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has walked our organization around so many potential pitfalls over the years. We feel like Lori, Robin and Lola have become part of our team. PBPA's expert advice enables us to focus on our work without constantly worrying about noncompliance issues or unnecessary liability. We can't thank them enough!
Empowerment Resource Center (ERC) was introduced to PBPA out of a need for legal assistance with a breached contract. As a nonprofit organization, ERC never fathomed having a budget line items for legal assistance. Within a matter of months, our board realized that our relationship with PBPA is an integral part of our infrastructure and sustainability efforts. There is no way that we could have afforded the types and level of legal expertise to which we have had access. Now, we are beginning to wonder just how we've gotten this far without them.
Our organization (dreamwarriorsfoundation.org) has been working with ProBono since the start of 2019. We have been wildly impressed with the level of attention and care extended to us in our inaugural year of operation. They have helped us with everything from start-up type legal advice to coaching us through our board selections and bi-law writing process. We are so relieved that the professionals who volunteer at ProBono are always courteous, qualified and true leaders in their fields of law, not to mention they are humble and down to earth. We would highly recommend their partnership to all Atlanta non-profits.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has been extremely helpful in assisting my nonprofit become legally sound and stable. They've been knowledgeable on all subjects we've needed assistance with and extremely friendly in the process. We've enjoyed working with all partnering attorneys and firms.
As chair person of a very small nonprofit in Atlanta, GA, we have already benefited immensely from the services of PBPATL. They have assisted us in tightening up our waiver agreements and employee handbook. The attorneys we meet with are efficient, friendly, and spot-on. The website and newsletter are also very helpful - especially the webcasts. PBPATL is becoming my "go to" resource for the business of a non-profit.
ProBono Partnership of Atlanta has helped our organization get answers to countless questions over the years. We don't know what we would do without them!
I’ve volunteered as a lawyer with PBPA for over 10 years and now also serve on the Advisory Committee. I love that PBPA makes it so easy for transactional attorneys to find meaningful pro bono work by finding and screening worthwhile nonprofit organizations with clearly identified needs. Every PBPA client I’ve worked with has been incredibly grateful, cooperative, and invested in our projects. As a bonus, I have learned a lot about the amazing work being done in our community by organizations I never otherwise would have come across. As a member of the Advisory Committee I appreciate that PBPA is extremely well run with an exceptional staff of talented and committed people.
As the Chairman of the Board of St, Jude's Recovery Center, I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding assistance that your organization has provided to our team. We operate on a very tight budget and having your volunteers handle matters that we have been unable to address has lifted loads off of our shoulders. We are so appreciative of the willingness and expertise that has been available to us. Atlanta is so fortunate to have the Pro Bono Partnership. Thank you so very much. John Dryman
TRULY EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has been a big part of allowing our Nonprofit to continue to raise the bar of expectations of our clients and the level of service we provide. The professionalism of the Staff of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, especially Robyn Miller and the volunteer Lawyers is unmatched. We especially value the Legal Checkups that help ensure we remain well protected from legal entanglements. The regular training events offer ways for us to stay up to speed on changes in laws and best practices for Nonprofits.
The Pro Bono Partnership's guidance helps all Nonprofits be their very best and they remain the backbone of legal support for all Nonprofits in the Atlanta area.
Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta is loaded with extremely knowledgeable and experienced talent, and I have received their wise council on multiple occasions. Our non-profit has received the highest level of advice in multiple areas of law and even in multiple states. We had tax issues with having 2 books published, and Robyn Miller was brilliant in directing us around the tax laws which came into play to assure us that the proceeds from the book sales would go directly to the non-profit for whom the books were written. Also, there was a non-performance issue with a contract for marketing the books, and the other party was in Boston. Robyn use her network and acquired the services of a local attorney in Boston to help move our issue forward.
When hiring a new employee, our non-profit wanted to have certainty that our job description would meet the FLSA requirements, so I reached out to Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta again. I am very thankful that Robyn Miller assisted us again and gave us invaluable advise on the working of the document. Also, she reached out to another local attorney that deals with FLSA more often than Robyn does, and we received additional direction from Robyn's contact. This document was far better written thanks to their help, and I have confidence that it will accomplish our goal for having the person in the role outlined with the job description as a salaried employee, not an hourly employee.
It would be impossible for our tiny non-profit to have afforded the amazing services provided to us by Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. The team there has invited us to fantastic classes, provided great follow up and support, and continue to offer advice and information for the challenges we face as a non-profit. Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has consistently exceeded my expectations and it has always been a pleasure in working with them! Thanks Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta!

Global Village Project, Inc. is a nonprofit serving refugee teenage girls in the Atlanta area. We operate an all-day academic program for girls with limited English and formal schooling and a mentoring program for our graduates as they navigate high school and college. Our organization has seen tremendous growth over the past 5 years, and thankfully we had Pro Bono Partnership to guide us through the legal aspects of and issues associated with a growing and changing nonprofit. They provided us with a thorough legal check-up and then connected us with amazing legal professionals to walk us through the process of review and refinement. We are deeply grateful for the team of knowledgeable and committed professionals at Pro Bono and all the talented attorneys they engaged in helping us. Thanks to them, Global Village Project is growing strong in year 10, and we look forward to making a powerful difference in the lives of these refugee young women for another decade. THANK YOU!
I am a Certified Paralegal. My work is in all areas of the law. I contacted this organization regarding a very important legal issue. They provided me with all that I needed to complete the legal issue I was working. They are super in my book. You do not have enough stars to give to the organization. Again thank you so much.
Great resource for our nonprofit- thank you so much!
We love Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. No matter is too large or too small. Believe me, we've thrown some unique legal issues their way and they've really stepped up and rose to the challenge. The most notable case was an immigration issue with one of our staff members that took an entire EIGHT YEARS to resolve. No one would expect an organization, much less, a volunteer attorney and her staff, to stick with a case that extensive. But they did! And did it gladly and we felt like we were treated like a regular paying client (I can't even imagine what the legal costs would have been - certainly not something that a small nonprofit or its employee could afford.) We cannot say enough about the work they do. It's a vital resource for the nonprofit community in Atlanta.
Loving Arms Cancer Outreach became a client for the first time this year. What an AMAZING organization. They actually LOVE on you. Rachel and her Staff.... WOW!!! They have a heart for all our projects and it is unbelievable that all they want to do is KEEP US LEGAL and keep us doing the call on our lives in helping others. The Legal Checkup-THAT WAS FUN!!!! Sure we were scared not knowing what to expect, but from Lola (So efficient and wonderful) to every volunteer they were so warm and loving & ORGANIZED. Breakfast, Meeting with Lawyers and now they are a part of our family-calling us, follow up, List of homework-THEY GET THINGS DONE!!!! GOD sends us ANGELS and we consider Rachel & Her Staff-OUR ANGELS!!! Thank You Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta!!!!! Blessings, Diana & Shay
Fulton County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that trains volunteers to advocate for foster children. At our initial legal checkup meeting, I was surprised, impressed and honored to sit down with an assigned legal team headed by a project manager to talk through our needs and develop a schedule for delivery of legal services. During this past year we have even had a few unplanned emergencies that we received assistance with. Our Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Legal Team is comprised of Atlanta's Top Attorneys. There is no way our organization could afford the caliber of legal counsel provided through Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. On behalf of the foster children of Fulton County, many thanks to the Attorneys and Staff that unselfishly dedicates their time and expertise to serve PBPATL.
Robbyn Ingram, Executive Director, Fulton County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Inc.
What an amazing blessing the PBPA has been to our work at the Alliance for Freedom, Restoration, and Justice, Inc. From our first interview through many projects since, PBPA and its excellent legal volunteers have been our heroes, tackling a wide variety of issues for us, and always with the very best standards of care, timeliness, professionalism, encouragement, and excellence. We sing your praises everywhere we go!
I Will Survive, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3), breast cancer educational awareness and funding in lower income communities in Atlanta who has been blessed to receive services on several occasions from Pro Bono Partnerships of Atlanta, Inc. This is an amazing organization serving those in need. Thank you for all that you do!
Aniz, Inc is a 501(c)(3), human services nonprofit organization. We have worked with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta many times. The level of excellent legal assistance they have provided us over the years has been instrumental to the functioning and growth of this agency. From reviewing our agency infrastructural documents to interceding on our behalf with the IRS to representing our interests by providing us quality legal counsel during difficult legal situations, Aniz would not be the thriving organization we now are without Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. Thank you for all that you do!
We are Exodus 321 Inc. a 501 c3 non profit organization. We serve the mentally challenged, the disabled and homeless community in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. We have transitioned over 250 persons from living in the street or in harms way, to living in safe clean long term housing. We have also assisted with the opening of over 33 homes to accommodate our at risk community. Our organization is now 11 years old and in good standing.
We were introduced to Pro Bono Partnership Lawyers of Atlanta about 6 years ago. Since then they have helped us to resolve all sorts of challenges that we have encountered. We appreciate and are more than grateful to the volunteer Lawyers of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta., for their extraordinary patience and untiring support We know without their guidance, legal help, and many seminars and webinars, we would not be in existence to day.
I would like to share one of our many success stories with you. One of our residents was teaching school at the age of 27. He was from a very good family but when his father died he became severely challenged. At the time we met him he could hardly walk or talk, and seemed hopeless. However, after three years of good nourishment, love and understanding at our facility, in addition to the help of his family and two George State university volunteer students, this young man regained his confidence and his ability to cope. He then became a volunteer worker at a mission and was subsequently hired as a staff. Also, he worked as a math tutor with an agency. Eventually, he came to us and said "I believe I'm ready to live on my own ". He got an apartment. Went back to the university for graduate school and graduated at the top of his class. This is just one of the many lives that were changed because we had the staying power afforded to us by the Volunteer Lawyers of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Loretta Benbow, Executive Director Exodus 321 Inc.
"As a small organization, DeKalb CASA has embarked on a journey to place all legacy issues in a box and bury them forever. One of the last issues was a project Pro Bono took on for us like a tiger via the tireless efforts of Attorney Nedom Haley. Attorney Haley worked with us as a partner in face to face meetings, drafting critical communications and conducting tenacious litigation to ensure our project had a satisfactory resolution. The Pro Bono Project has additionally been instrumental in assisting DeKalb CASA with updates of our corporate papers. Their efforts have assisted us to ensure that our policies are current, updated and compliant with current state and federal laws."
Ron Mangum, DeKalb County CASA's, Board Chair and Board Member of National CASA
We have worked with Pro Bono Partnership many times and they were particularly instrumental in helping my agency walk through a very difficult legal issue. Thanks to them, we were able to resolve the matter to our benefit satisfactorily. I am so grateful to the support they provide.
Having Pro Bono Partnership as a nonprofit partner has been very helpful to our organization. As a small group, we could not have afforded all the help we've received from volunteer lawyers through Pro Bono. We are happy you exist and have made a big difference for us Thank you!
kidz2leaders has benefited from the quality and availability of legal services through the Pro Bono Partnership. We could not afford to pay ourselves the depth of legal services we receive from them. They have provided attorneys to assist in trademark matters, camp applications and other documentation, and human resources issues. We feel we are getting excellent advice to help keep our business safe and sound.
Our organization, Jeryme Brown and Mitchell Smalls Foundation (JBMS) would not still be operating seven years later had it not been for ProBono Partnerships. They have helped us to align our progam goals, procedures, and policies with state and national legal requirements. In addition they have aligned us with attorneys who truly have a heart for service. Many of those attorneys continue to volunteer as speakers and mentors for our youth well after their project has ended. ProBono Partnerships of Atlanta is a permanent part of the JBMS family!
PBPATL is probably one of the most valuable resources in Atlanta for a non-profit like Friends of Refugees. Complex legal questions are du jour in the nonprofit world, often without significant legal precedents available and ALWAYS with a dearth of funding to get the help necessary to serve families and communities with excellence. PBPATL has helped FOR find the answers to our questions, the legal volunteers to do what we do right, and to see far down the road of our organization's future by sitting on the shoulders of their top-notch legal partners. Our future is brighter because of PBPATL!
REDEEM COMMUNITY OUTREACH HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR OVER 20 YEARS

I Griffin Lotson of Sams Memorial CED Inc. nonprofit personally wanted to thank you Pro Bono for believing in us, when it appeared that we were not going to find a specialize attorney with our limited resources, Pro Bono were there with us, now we have achieve one of our greatest accomplishment by receiving 100% ownership of a multimillion dollar apartment complex, The journey was hard and very few believe it could be accomplished by a Rural small nonprofit, but with the right partnership with you (Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta) we were able to accomplish what some say it was impossible. Thanks!!!!
Our organization has been a client of Pro Bono Partnership Atlanta for over 6 years. It is very comforting to know that as a grassroots organization we have such an extensive level or expertise at our fingertips to assist as needed. The professionalism of the staff and the legal volunteers has been outstanding.
