Review for Bonding Against Adversity Inc, Houston, TX, USA
My name is Judy Hoya and I work for Aldine ISD. I became acquainted with BAA when they started a mentoring program for at-risk students on one of our middle school campuses. They have had a tremendous impact on the students they have mentored this school year. They have made such a positive impact that other campuses are requesting their services. BAA also provides health and safety programs as a service to the community.
BAA is a strictly volunteer program with most of the operational funds provided by the director.
They rely on fundraisers to keep their various community programs going. It would be nice to have additional funding available to assist in growing this positive program in the Aldine community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization by reviewing the academic reports of the students being mentored. I have also observed the growth of the mentors after their experiences working on-on-one with the students.
