Great way for families to bond together and have fun at the same time. Good healthy topics. I will be attending these meetings and gatherings more often once I'm retired. Already planning on joining in their health program.

I am a volunteer in BAA's Dropout Prevention program. Being in this role has made me see the real value of BAA. Many children are benefiting by having mentors to go to with their school work and sometimes with their personal problems. As mentors we provide guidance to the students that will benefit them educationally and in every other aspect of their lives. Having someone to go to at the age of the students that are mentored in the BAA program is a great advantage to them not only in the moment but definitely in the future.

I am Jan Winn, a local banker and Secretary-Treasurer of the Aldine Optimist Club. The Optimist Club opted to support BAA in its first year knowing Marianna's abilities. Marianna has been a moving factor in the Aldine area for several years serving the YMCA. Marianna has shown such energy and innovation in BAA in its first year. BAA has shown impressive results in working with the area youth. I am convinced that BAA is going to show even greater results as it grows. This is a group deserving of your financial support.

My name is Virginia Bazan and I am a volunteer in Aldine. I work with various organizations within my community and I have seen first hand how dedicated Mariana is to BAA. She has made such an enormous impact in the lives of countless people. She not only influences the people she serves through her many programs but even the lives of those who help her and those who know of her. She pours her own personal life experciences into all she does for all the people she serves. She works deligently to provide education which results in a better way of life. I am proud of BAA in our community and I am also a better person having meet and working along side Mariana. BAA is a organization that has long been needed. BAA is an organization that is strong because the founder is so sincere, humble and dedicated to it's cause.

BAA is a model organization working for the wellness of Aldine residents. I have experienced first hand their commitment and endurance in providing high quality programs to benefit the community. A unique pearl that shines among unfeasible efforts from other institutions to keep students in school is the Preventing Dropout Program. In less than one year, this program have demonstrated that in order to keep students engaged and motivated, attention to the whole spectrum of their lives is a must.
I encourage public and private companies to support this organization to continue its enterprise to transform unbalanced systems into harmonic communities full of opportunities for success.

Hi, my name is Valeria Sequeira and I am a member of BAA. I am a mentor at Hambrick Middle school participating in the Drop Out Prevention Program and I am proud to be part of something that is genuinely there to help the community and these kids. It is BAA's first year and it is growing quickly and doing its best to help these students realize the value and importance of education. The program is doing a great job at helping students with their classwork and bringing up grades. But not only that, also teaching students responsibility and life lessons that these kids will carry with them on to high school. It is my first time ever volunteering and mentoring, and BAA has made this experience a great one.

Hi, My name is Tiffany Clark and I am student at the University of Houston. This is my first year working with BAA and words can't explain how enthusiastic I am about this organization. Upon first meeting with the executive director I could tell how passionate she was about the Drop Out Prevention Program and it only pushed me to strive to give my all. I have watched my mentee struggle in one of her classes to excel in her class, to get a 92% on her Taks exam, that is awesome. Programs such as BAA "are helping people help themselves" and is much needed in surrounding communities. With the help of volunteers such as myself we can hopefully have a branch in every area within the City of Houston. Again, I love what BAA is doing and I hope they continue to grow and build strong leaders in the community. Thank you!

As the President of the Houston Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce, I have found BAA to be a great organization. BAA is filling needs and creating programs where there are currently gaps from existing programs. The Executive Director has great connectivity to the surronding business community and is very well respected. I support her program and am very proud of the work she and BAA has done and continues to do.

My name is Judy Hoya and I work for Aldine ISD. I became acquainted with BAA when they started a mentoring program for at-risk students on one of our middle school campuses. They have had a tremendous impact on the students they have mentored this school year. They have made such a positive impact that other campuses are requesting their services. BAA also provides health and safety programs as a service to the community.
BAA is a strictly volunteer program with most of the operational funds provided by the director.
They rely on fundraisers to keep their various community programs going. It would be nice to have additional funding available to assist in growing this positive program in the Aldine community.

BAA is such an amazing organization that does so much for our community. I am a mentor at Hambrick middle school and to have a drop out prevention program in that school really gives kids hope and assurance that with a little one-on-one help they can achieve great things. I love being part of a program that changes students' life.

BAA does a great job organizing all kinds of programs and events to support and help our Aldine community which is in great need of organizations like BAA that can work for what this community needs more, a better education system, and better accessible health programs. BAA’s mentor program is what our students need to feel important and part of a community that can help them in anything they have problems with. The exercise program is perfect for anyone in need of a place where to gather to become healthier by exercising while dancing. It is also a great program to get to know our neighbors. As a volunteer I see the great need for organizations that really focus on the needs of everyone in this community .I have given my time but I have received more by seeing the mentees progress socially and academically. I encourage everyone to make some time to volunteer with BAA or any organization; your life will change while helping others change their life for better.

My name is Brittney Spears and am a college student that has been volunteering with Bonding Against Adversity for the last year. The experience I have had in the Drop Out Prevention program, and many other events hosted by BAA, has been life changing. I have been able to form a bond and play a major role in my mentee's life and his grades have made a dramatic turn for the better as well as his behavior. Volunteering with BAA has enriched my college career and instilled values that will help me for the rest of my life.
