My Nonprofit Reviews

Annette
Review for Melanoma International Foundation, Glenmoore, PA, USA
Over the last two years, I have battled melanoma. This sight was a god-send for me. I had thought I was the only one with this type of cancer and no one could provide me with support or answers to my questions. The MIF was not only there for me on-line, but I was able to call from another country (Canada) and receive immediate caring and kind assistance and follow up. I just can't say enough about the mental support and accurate information that was available.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the amount of awareness and activities that they have provided.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
work to unite the different melanoma organizations to come together to raise awareness and funds to fight the disease.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
is their willingness to help us anytime and to follow up with me to see how I am doing. Catherine Poole is one amazing person.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
unbelievable. Kind, interested, sharing and well-informed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
put a great deal more resources into research and after care support for patients and families.
Ways to make it better...
The website forum was a bit easier to follow the conversation.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
funding and reducing the duplication of efforts of so many other organizations.
One thing I'd also say is that...
without their selfless efforts, I don't know that I would be as far along as I am today.
