Review for Starfish to the Sea Animal Rescue, Lucernemines, PA, USA
Starfish to the Sea is a great multi-species animal rescue in Pennsylvania. Run by an extremely knowledgeable individual, Star focuses on getting animals healthy, fixing behavioral problems and finding animals new, loving homes. The concept is much like the story of "saving one starfish at a time." Star accepts bunnies, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and even birds! A very reputable and responsible rescue that gives updates on placed animals...so important to donors.

Review for Our English Setter Rescue, Hilliard, OH, USA
I have been a volunteer, transporter and foster home for Ohio English Setter Rescue (OESR). I have worked with many rescue organizations, both in the horse rescue and dog rescue world. None has impressed me more than OESR. This organization is truly dedicated to its mission, and maintains a level of transparency so needed in the non-profit world today. As a donator, you can see your dollars at work, and receive information and follow up on the dogs that have been helped. Within the last year, I have also become an adopter. Excellent organization!

My volunteer experience did have an effect on me. It taught me how open and honest an organization doing rescue can be, and how that openness translates into enthusiastic participation and support from many people.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
This volunteer experience makes me feel great, because I'm helping a great organization and also dogs in need of homes.
