Review for World Pediatric Project, Richmond, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

What a fantastic organization! All year long they send surgical missions to their six partner countries (Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Dominican Republic, Guyana, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines). During these missions, they not only perform surgeries, but they also teach local medical professionals so that the local doctors can make a difference in their countries. From these surgical missions, they encounter children who need very complicated surgeries that cannot be sustained by the local infrastructure. So, those children come to Richmond! The children really are at the heart of this small, but very powerful organization. Everyone works very hard to ensure that the visiting families feel as comfortable as possible in Richmond and that their surgeries go smoothly.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the children who return home happier and healthier than before they came to Richmond.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

feel very proud of my staff and the work they do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting to know the visiting families on a personal level. They're so grateful for IHC's help!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very passionate about their role in the organization.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create even more relationships in Latin America and the Caribbean and help more children.

Ways to make it better...

I could have started earlier!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

ensuring their donor base can sustain them long-term.

One thing I'd also say is that...

you should visit their website And check out the auction!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
