Review for Earthjustice, San Francisco, CA, USA
Earth Justice states 'because the earth needs a good attorney'. So true, and I am sooooo thankful that Earth Justice is here working to inform and ensure that the earth remains or recovers to be a healthy place for all who share this planet. They act where so many others sit on the sidelines and just make noise. They took up the water-rights fight in Hawaii when many thought it was a losing battle. They never took that stance, and Hawaii and the local people are better because of Earth Justice. Thank you.

Review for Natural Resources Defense Council Inc, New York, NY, USA
NRDC is one of my favorite environmental groups. It is respected worldwide and when they go into the courts, you can count on them being thorough and very effective. They are an organization that most aspire to in their honesty and ethics. I am a proud member of NRDC and have been for over 20 yrs. They choose their battles wisely and fight with intelligence supported by tons of research and documentation. I am glad they are on OUR side when it comes to protecting the earth and all species from humans. It is through their good work that the big conglomerates who continuesly fight NRDC are able to because NRDC has kept them healthy with clean air, water and habitats!

I think we all have experienced the results of NRDC with our clean water, healthy watersheds, vibrant wildlife habitat and breathable air. Without NRDC, this world would be in a much sorrier state than we already are! When will everyone realize that we all SHARE one earth???
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only change that I would make would be for them to have unlimited funds that would allow them to really fight for the people, habitats, animals: winged, finned, hooved, flippered, two-footed, four-footed and web-toed and all the biogems of the world.
Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
The Center for Biological Diversity is one of the most informative and proactive groups in the world. One of the most important issues they are involved in is the Overpopulation Campaign whereby they utilize a brilliant marketing message with the Endangered Species Condoms. The packaging has an endangered animal with information about it and the much needed info that overpopulation is a huge problem the world faces with "...land destruction, water depletion and wildlife habitat loss at an unparrelled rate, causing a massive planetary extinction crisis..." With these condoms they are able to get the word out to people who (normally) wouldn't get this information. They not only act quickly to stop the massive abuses to the earth and all species, but are informative on all their campaigns--wins and losses. They are the BEST!

The number of people in our county using condoms (and avoiding unintended pregnancies) as well as people becoming aware (some for the first time) that lack of reproductive services is more than just a moral issue; it is an environmental issue as well.
