I spent almost 14 years working in Domestic Relations Court in another state and know well the need to provide open and safe access to services for victims of domestic violence. The mission of Helpmate is to work with our community to eliminate abuse and fear by providing safety, shelter, and support for victims/survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. Helpmate does an exceptional job in providing a full range of coordinated services to victims that may include immediate counseling, housing, financial support, medical services, legal aid, and law enforcement resources. Sometimes it means just having a trained professional to listen and provide emotional support and comfort. The staff are outstanding and committed to the work of breaking the cycle of domestic violence and saving lives in the process.
