Review for The Gay Christian Network, Raleigh, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

AS a christian man it is most difficult to go to church or at times to be apart of the Christian religion when so much gay bashing seems to be the norm within the christian community. I have not yet had the pleasure to attend at GCN conference. However the GCN web site has so much information to aid a person struggling to come to terms with their own sexuality. I have listened to several of the radio broadcasts and it is difficult to explain just how some of the interviews gave me a word of encouragement at a moment when I so needed it. If I can say it without sounding perhaps shallow, the GCN website is a great internet friend. I hope to attend the GCN conference in January 2012 in Orlando FL.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my life. GCN has shown me that I am not alone. That I am not some out cast from God's love. I may not be perfect but God does love me. The church at large says there is no place for me in the body of Christ. But that is not true. That is why GCN is there, to show me there is a place for me in God's family.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Encourage GCN to work harder to dispel the commonly accepted belief in the church that all gays live wild immoral life styles. The church is much too unaware that there are gay men and women who believe in Jesus Christ and attempt to follow Him the best they can.
