I have been a dedicated supporter of Zaksee Wild Bird Sanctuary in Florida for almost 10 years.
To see the parrots thriving and being cared for in an environment that is healthy and natural for them is
heartwarming. It is extremely challenging in so many ways to run a sanctuary like this successfully for
such a long time. I live in the New York area and see many parrot rescues struggling to do right by
these unfortunate, misunderstood beings in a climate that is not ideal for them. At Zaksee the birds have
huge aviaries where they can fly freely and socialize with their companions as they would in the wild. Please
donate what you can. It is expensive to maintain a refugee like Magid has managed to over many
challenging years.
