As an educator dedicated to fostering a love of reading in elementary-age students, I cannot say enough positive things about the Comics Appreciation Project. Matching children with books they truly enjoy is essential, and I have found that engaging boys in reading can sometimes be particularly challenging.
Last school year, Jason worked with my students over an extended period, introducing them to a diverse selection of graphic novels, books, and comics. His lessons were not only educational and engaging but also deeply captivating for these young learners. As a result, my students became more enthusiastic about reading and actively sought out more books.
Even a year later, those same students still ask, “Can Mr. Jason please come back and bring more comics?” His passion and approach truly inspired them, helping to cultivate a lasting love for reading. I am incredibly grateful for his impact and highly recommend the Comics Appreciation Project to any educator looking to spark excitement for reading in their students.
