Review for The Jonah Project, El Segundo, CA, USA
Our youth group Rise Up volunteered this past Saturday with the Jonah Project. It was an amazing experience in more ways than one. The Jonah Project has a great urban, artsy feel inside, and is a place of belonging for many. Many of our youth were witnessing skid row and the vastness of homelessness for the first time. The Jonah project daily makes a difference by cleaning trash from Skid Row, providing a warm meal, a new fresh change of clothing, and most importantly they share Christ's love with those in hard situations. It was eye opening and challenging to know that we were impacting people for one day, but the Jonah Project does this on a daily basis as their mission. The Jonah project is a home for those that don't have one, and they are family to many who don't have any. They are doing amazing sacrificial work among the streets of Skid Row.

I think I personally seen the results of this organization by witnessing those within the Jonah Project that are regulars. They have a sense of belonging which shows that the ministry of the organization is producing fruit. Another huge result is just the people that have accepted Christ through the relational time and of sharing God's word.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would advertise more to churches for help with clothing that is needed in various seasons and for volunteers to love those on the streets, and maybe choose a better menu for the people who were being served.
