I became involved with Jericho only at the end of 2023, and coming from a corporate world, it was a very big change! But, after meeting Kellie and the team, and learning about Jericho's story, I was absolutely blown away. For over 20 years, Jericho's holistic scholarship program has given real promise to the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The se incredible students and their stories and what impact this foundation has had for them for generations to come is truly astounding. Being from Kalamazoo myself, I am grateful to represent our region here in South West Michigan where the Founder, Joanne Shields also came from. I learned that a large majority of the supporters of these students at the Jericho Foundation also are local here in South West Michigan. Individual supporters and local businesses in Michigan are providing real life opportunity for these talented and driven students in Bosnia Herzegovina. There were 6 students who came over during the summer for their US work experience program here in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, and hosting the events with them to tell their stories and meet their supporters was something I'll never forget. It's been very rewarding being with the Foundation, and knowing that even if we aren't nearby, we can all feel like a community, even on a global scale. It's wonderful to see what kindness and support can do for the future of our kids. Thank you Jericho!
