When considering supporting a non-profit organization, the first question one asks is: what causes deserve our support? Last Mile4D is focused on helping a particularly vulnerable group of young women at a stage in life where medical decisions will have a life-long impact. Mahnaz Harrison has assembled a devoted team of workers to help not only eradicate female genital mutilation (FGM) but introduce these young women to the power of education to free them from the drudgeries of village life. In the 10 years since their inception,Last Mile4D has had a disproportionately high impact not only on preventing FGM but in introducing young women to the advantages of education and becoming vital members of the work force and impactful community members. The resources donors make available to Last Mile4D have made a difference in thousands of young women who are now able to assist their communities in providing a future for the next generation.
