Since the inception of Iowa Humane Alliance, they have transformed Eastern Iowa’s ability to manage cat and dog population with their affordable and comprehensive spay and neuter services. They also offer wellness clinics where you can get yearly shots updated at a fraction of the cost at a traditional vet clinic, which has helped so many pets stay healthy and remain in homes as the owners are able to budget their pets needs. I have been going to IHA for many years now and have advocated for spay or neutering farm, acreage and community cats in Cedar County. To witness the transformation of a colony of cats infested with lice, worms, upper respiratory illness, abscesses and so many other ailments too numerous to mention, to a healthy population free of the aforementioned ailments within 3 months is amazing. I am able to do these things because the IHA staff works hard at getting appointments to everyone, provides quality services and at the end of the day, has satisfaction knowing they have made the world a better place for the animals and the people who care for and about them. I have worked with a few other low-cost clinics and am thankful for them as well, but if I have a choice of where I can take my animals, IHA will always be the best of the best in my opinion!
