I LOVE COH! I started volunteering a year ago for this small but mighty organization and I have to say, Chain of Hope is grossly undervalued in the KC metro. Kate has made it her life mission to help those without a choice or a voice and her passion is echoed by her amazing staff. Chain of Hope is dedicated to helping as many dogs/cats as humanly possible and they achieve this mission by going into areas within the metro that are intimidating to most of us. They are quick to respond to calls/messages about animal neglect, abuse and abandonment; offering help by way of shelter for dogs/cats, food, vet care, medication, etc. The love this organization feels for their animals is genuine and they work diligently to re-home a dog/cat into the perfect setting to reduce the risk of further trauma or it being a bad fit. I feel like I found 'my people' at Chain of Hope as we all speak the same love language when it comes to animal welfare.
