Peaceful Pastures is the most transparent nonprofit I have found for ANY rescues. Beth and all the volunteers do an OUTSTANDING job of taking care of the many precious donkeys there and due to that care many have survived that would not have. Not only have they survived...they have THRIVED!
Have you ever felt the love of a donkey? True they love treats but their gentleness and the tenderness that shines from their eyes truly tell you that they feel safe, loved and are free from any abuse, negelect or torture! They will love on you and let you love on them - and if your soul needs comfort it can be found at Peaceful Pastures, with the many donkeys there who have found peace, love and safety. I have been there and found comfort after losing my husband - I have also been there for a fund raising event and seen how all the volunteers work together for the good of the rescue - giving FREELY of their time and abilities to make life better for these precious ones who have endured so much. Witnessing a birth there that would have been so different if "Journey" had not been at Peaceful Pastures when Jaimie was born. She took treats and was open to being touched even tho she had just given birth - because she felt safe and loved in the environment of Peaceful Pastures.
