I have been involved with the Assistance League of the Eastside as a donor and volunteer since 2015. This organization, specifically their "Operation School Bell" program, has been instrumental in clothing disadvantaged youths that are in need of supplies, clothing and shoes. Not many people are aware of how many families are at or near homelessness due to the rising housing prices and cost of living in the Puget Sound area. The look on the faces of the children as they are able to get new shoes and jackets reflects their boost in confidence and their sense of self-worth. I am a huge supporter of the ALE and will continue to do so.
