It has been a true honor to volunteer at Open Heart Refuge since the new facility opened in January 2024. After nearly nine months, the reason I continue to return is the heartfelt dedication of the shelter coordinators to the community. The executive director frequently visits in the evenings to ensure the coordinators have the resources and support they need to care for everyone. Their genuine compassion inspires not only me but all the volunteers, making us proud to contribute to such an impactful service. It’s a rewarding experience to be part of a team that truly cares.
