I volunteered for Open Heart. I was very impressed by the dedicated volunteers, their hard work, and the home-cooked, healthy food they provide for those in need. They also set out dessert and whole loaves of bread for taking home. (I believe guests could also take home leftovers.) It's a good charity that serves good food.

Open Heart has blessed me in so many ways. I have volunteered with them over the years and I continually encounter the most caring, kind and professional organizers. Every time I go, it fills my heart that I can help them serve the community. Now, in the middle of a global pandemic, I find myself on the needing side instead of the serving side. I am grateful for such a wonderful organization.

We took some teenagers to help serve at Open Heart Kitchen and many of them said they wanted to come back and do it on a regular basis. They said it made them feel good to help others.
