So many organizations focus on cures and research while so few focus on a child's quality of life during the most difficult of times. Starlight's devotion to a seriously ill child's sense of joy clearly makes a difference. Starlight's ability to reach a vast network of hospitals means it can deliver programs to thousands of children. Hospitals are strained enough simply trying to address illness so their resources available for a child's experience are very limited. An organization like Starlight is invaluable to hospitals as it fulfills a role that few others can. It's been a privilege to play a small part in this meaningful mission.
