Words can't even begin to explain how grateful I am to this organization. This group of people do their very best to care for the animals, maintain a tight knit foster community and provide resources to the community at large.

I first reached out to AWLMC in June of 2020 to see if they can help me rehome Sammy - a beautiful orange boy that was left behind by his owners and a friend of the family notified us that he was out there by himself. I had a full house already, so it was my goal to find him the best forever home since he was such a sweet gentle boy. The organization found him a home! A few years later, this scraggly looking tuxedo boy showed up at my doorstep. I was able to drop him off at the nearest shelter since I wasn't able to keep him in my home at that time. The shelter ended up moving him to AWLMC due to his sweet nature, they named him Moose. The organization found him a home shortly after. Lastly, a few months back, a family member was no longer able to care for her kitty so I emailed AWLMC to see if they would help find him a home. Ash came from a traumatic situation - he lost his housemate recently and was in a tough spot. Harold reached out to me almost immediately and although the shelter was full at that time he worked with me and was able to take Ash within the month. During his stay there Ash enjoyed so much love and attention by all the shelter volunteers including Brandy, Nona and Harold's wife Martha among others. The patience and care allowed Ash to be discovered by a loving family with older kids and from the recent update he is thriving in his new home. I can't express how thankful I am that they communicated with me and kept me updated even though they didn't have to. I even recently found out one of the cats I pet sit was adopted from them. I love this organization and the work they do - they deserve all good things and blessings in the world!
