I spent 2 semesters interning with DMAX Foundation, so I got a firsthand look at the impact that DMAX Foundation has with its Clubs and events.

One thing that stood out to me working with DMAX Foundation was the immediate response to current events that may affect students' mental health. Following an adverse event that occurred at a school that had a DMAX Club, DMAX staff reached out within a day to the Club leaders to provide support and developed a collection of talk tips to help students process the event in a healthy, peer supported way.

Additionally, DMAX Foundation makes an effort to develop events and materials in an intentionally inclusive way, prioritizing marginalized voices, such as LGBTQ+ and BIPOC voices, and encouraging conversations to examine privilege and preformed opinions.
