Review for WildCare, San Rafael, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

WildCare plays a significant role along Marin partner agencies in providing the treatment, care, and rehabilitation of injured or orphaned wildlife through their open admission wildlife hospital: examples of intake can be animals or birds hit by autos, falling from their nests due to tree pruning, human harming, birds flying into windows, rat poison ingestion, netting ligatures, and more.

Temporary treatment means limiting human interaction and/or imprinting so that wildlife can then be released back into their native habitat and in the wild.

WildCare also provides educational outreach programs to local schools and encourages the participation of youth out in Nature. By providing learning, they also teach youth the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems in the region and neighborly stewards of the amazing wildlife here in the Bay Area.

WildCare treats over 3,500 ill, injured and orphaned wild animal patients on an annual basis and is funded largely by public donations, grants, and fundraising.

I rate this nonprofit 10 stars if I could. Grateful for this non-profit
