I previously gave ASTR a very good review. However, I have come to the conclusion that I was lied to about the condition of the little Pomeranian that I adopted. He was quite lethargic when I got him and was told that it was due to his seizure medication. He also was shaved bare on his back haunches and part of his tail, which was put down to his "allergies" to kibbles and he had had diarrhea. He also had the horrible itchies (also supposedly because of kibbles). Well, it turns out that the dog is infected with Scabies and has been all along. I have had him to the vet repeatedly and they just now confirmed that diagnosis. Unfortunately, I also have become infected with the Scabies, as has my daughter and her dog. If we had been told the truth, it would have been a simple fix, but every problem that he had was blamed on kibbles. I was horrified at the food that they wanted me to feed him RAW, so I gave him homemade food that I cooked. Well, that does NOT cure Scabies and now I am stuck with trying to rid my house, yard,, myself, my daughter, her dog and my dog of these pests. In addition, it has also been a very expensive proposition. I would ask for a partial refund, but reading other posts, it does not seem as though they will actually do that. Please be aware of these rescue outfits that are actually just looking at their bottom line. I DO love this dog and will do what I must.

I recently adopted an adorable little boy Pomeranian from AST. They were extremely investigative as to my home and yard, plus interest in my other dogs. They really care about their rescue animals and look for the best home for them. This little boy is my 11th dog, as I am in my 80's and just last month lost my little companion, who I had for 10 years He was also a rescue. I would recommend this adoption agency to anyone interested in finding a new friend.
