First this is the most wonderful helpful professional service . I have been coming here many years .I would recommend it highly .i do have a few concerns.i feel that too many appointments are scheduled for the same time .there is not enough volunteers. And certainly not enough chairs at this location.. considering I was there 3 hours .I am disabled and luckily some one let me sit down
In past we went in and did the taxes right along with the people and have the chance to ask questions..now you give your papers and they go in the back and do them then you sign them and that's it . There is also papers expected to be filled out before you go and printed out to make the process faster ..of the many people there I saw 1 other guy did it .which then means someone has to come out and help fill these papers out for everyone..that' slows the whole day down .as I mentioned I was there 3 hours even tho I was completely prepared .my suggestions would be to have plenty of volunteers available. Have enough seating available and go back to the old day of doing it along with the people.i know it is checked by more than 1 person but it's double the work and double the time .and don't schedule so many people at once . everyone there had the same appointment as I did ..that would be fine if there was lots of volunteers .I don't wish to appear ungrateful because I am very thankful for the expert help. Everyone there seemed to be Also exasperated at the way things were

I had been a client for several years before the pandemic..this service is so wonderful and a big help .I didn't feel comfortable leaving all my information during the pandemic so I did it myself ..I was happy that they opened it up in person this year .when I got there I assumed it was going to be the same procedure..that they do them with you and answer all the questions as you go along .instead they take all your info, go into into the back and you sit outside in the hallway . In the back someone does it. It's checked by someone then they call you back to go over it again ..we set in the hallway 2 hours ..when we got in the back to go over it there were several errors that needed to be corrected which wouldn't have had to be done if it had been done as in the past With you . I also noticed as I sat in the hallway that one of the volunteers had to keep coming out to ask someone else some questions.
I questioned that and was told the room was too small to have all the people In. It's the same room as they always used ...you were also required to fill out online the intake form and another form online before you got there ..that might not be so easy for older folks ..im sure it makes it easier but we filled out another form much the same when we got there so what was the point... We used to be able to fill the forms out there while we were waiting ..This service is wonderful and I don't mean to complain. I am used to the way they used to do it which seemed to be very smooth .
It's still a wonderful service
