Our family had been back and forth about another dog for some time. It was always me saying “no, it doesn’t feel right”, or “maybe next year.” Late one Sunday night, my mom shared a Facebook post from AHF with Denver/Damonti’s story and when I saw his sweet face I just knew. I ran up to show my husband the post but he met me on the stairs with the same post on his phone, so we knew it was meant to be! I filled out the application that night and on Tuesday we met him and brought him home. He goes by Roland (Rolie) now and we’re still working on healing his injuries that he sustained before his rescue. AHF has been wonderful about taking care of our little guy and making sure we all have what he needs to fully recover. We are forever grateful to them for rescuing our Rolie. He is the most loving, gentle, cuddly boy ever and he wouldn’t be with us if AHF had not stepped in.
