After being diagnosed with Waldenstrom’s , I experienced a rapid and unexpected progression of symptoms which required urgent treatment. The medications prescribed are incredibly costly and my monthly copays were several thousand dollars after insurance paid its portion. Unprepared for the unaffordable expenses, I was fortunate and blessed to have received a grant from PAN. Suddenly being diagnosed with cancer was a difficult and emotionally taxing experience as everything in my life changed. The medications are extremely effective and without them, the quality of my life would be very poor. Because of the generosity of PAN, I was able to afford the necessary medications and continue to live my life and enjoy my family. I am eternally grateful for this amazing foundation. PAN gave me a gift that touches my life in many more ways than just monetary. I am able to focus on healing and navigate a different journey through life without the anxiety of extreme financial strain. There aren’t enough words to express the magnitude of the importance of this foundation. Thank you PAN.
