I had the opportunity to work with IDES following a hurricane that went through our area in north Florida. As a new preacher to our area, I was contacted by IDES to see if I could help coordinate their efforts to share the love of Christ to people in our community. I worked with Rich, Paul, and Mason over the course of several weeks and enjoyed working with each one. I was familiar with the work of IDES but had never really experienced seeing them in action. IDES is an organization that takes the mission to share the love of Christ with those that are hurting following a disaster very seriously. With the help of IDES, our church was able to help many people in our community and the surrounding area with storm clean up. Many of these would have been working for months and spending a lot of money to get this done. Thanks to IDES and their volunteers the love of Christ was shown, prayers were offered, and people were met at the point of their need.

My confidence in the work that IDES does has always been solid but after working with them I see more clearly the passion they have for serving others. I know that the financial support that they receive is used with integrity and respect. IDES representatives are professional, and they show their appreciation to the volunteers that give their time and talent to the work to be done. This organization shows a light to the world in the aftermath of disaster. May God continue to bless the work of their hands for His glory.
